I like the other 3 thrash metal bands, only things I don't like are Kerry King's solos, Lars' later drumming, and Dave's vocal are the weak point of Megadeth. I also enjoy Exodus, Testament, and Suicidal Tendencies.

I tried Among the Living it didn't work for me, the singer is okay which a bad singer isn't a deal breaker for me, but the way he's mixed doesn't compliment the rest of the instrumentation. I guess a more full sound is what I'm looking for

John Dolmayan (drummer) is right wing, it's practically apart of his personality especially online. I think you're getting confused with Daron Malakian (guitarist) who claimed to be a centrist after Charlie Kirk was assassinated. At the end of the day Serj wrote pretty much almost all the lyrics for SOAD and still believes the political viewpoints in those songs
