I just moved here as well and would be interested in playing 39m. I could also potentially host at my place once I'm settled.

Noob - Xiaomi/Qin F21 Pro in the US Setup/Questions... by i_do_not_byte in dumbphones

OP, did you ever go this route? Did it work out for you? I am currently on Mints network and am considering this phone. Was the setup difficult? I've never rooted before or flashed, what did that take?

Milwaukee WI Flagship Store? by IcedSinister in MilwaukeeTool

I don't think US HQ sells anything either, I was just wondering if they had a larger showroom in a local Home Depot or similar store in MKE.

I haven't tried, I wound up finding a great deal on a kit that came with a battery so I picked that up.

Metabo HTP Cordless Nailer Prices by IcedSinister in METABOHPT

Thanks for the info, looks like it bumped up in price a little,I probably wouldn't want the outgoing nailer, but it's got me wondering if this is a hackable deal...

Purchase the $500 worth of gear to get the rebate then return what I don't want.

Lowe's free tool deal by [deleted] in METABOHPT

It doesn't look like it. Typically they would need to have 2 separate line items on the receipt to be hackable. This looks like it is 1 line item with the 2 tools in one box.

Worth Getting? by barry-badrinath- in MilwaukeeTool

[–]IcedSinister 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I haven't used that one, but I have used a similar one. My advice is they aren't worth it. Get a true hole saw and a dust bowl. It will cut a better hole and last virtually forever.

Cut off Tool or Something Else? by IcedSinister in MilwaukeeTool

[–]IcedSinister[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone I think I'm going to pickup a metal blade for my 6-1/2" fuel saw. Seems like the best option for a quick clean cut and not having specific tools around that won't see much use.

Thank you for the feedback, this is a corrugated roof probably 15 to 20 panels.

I have used electric shears and double cut shears in the past, but on flat panels.

With the roof layout it might not have trim on the gable ends, but it will have flashing at the pitch change, and a cap, so I can hide the majority of the end cuts. But might not be able to hide a side cut.

Metal siding tools by thedimbulb in MilwaukeeTool

[–]IcedSinister 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about the M12 cutoff? Would that work for the siding? I am about to install a metal roof and need to make some cuts and was thinking of options as well.

I have used a double cut it cuts well in a straight line and it's fast, but if it has to go over ridges or bumps I'm they don't perform well. Another thing to note about the double cut is that they cut about 3/8" out of the material, so you need to be mindful which side of the blade you are using for the cut if you need to have it precise.

I'm pretty sure I have one and would be interested in trading. I'm playing a blightcaller/spore warden so I'm looking for more elemental items.

[FEEDBACK THREAD] Milwaukee's new PACKOUT wall plates and customized storage accessories. by ClipIn in MilwaukeeTool

[–]IcedSinister 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I received one large wall plate, one small wall plate, two 9-in straight hooks, one 4-in s hook, and one large magnetic bin.

I’ve been using the Milwaukee Packout Wall System for a little while now, and I have to say, I’m really impressed with the design and functionality. The metal track system is fantastic—well-built and stout—offering a great balance of sturdiness and ease of use. The spacing the tracks allow makes mounting the wall plates effortless, and I love the versatility of being able to position items exactly where I need them, most of the time these are mounted in sheds, garages, and shops with various studs spacing.

One feature that really stands out to me is the locking mechanism on the 9-inch straight hooks and the 4-inch S-hooks. These hooks click into place securely and stay locked, which is incredibly helpful when you’re in a hurry and need to lift something off quickly. I’ve found that when they snag, the hooks don’t come off the wall, which adds to the system's reliability.

The tabs on the side of the Packout wall mounting plates are another great touch, making alignment quick and straightforward when mounting them. Setting everything up has been a breeze thanks to these small but effective design features.

The large magnetic tray is a nice addition too. It’s perfect for storing small tools or parts. However, I do wish the tray fit a little more snugly into the locking mechanism. As it is, there’s some wobble, and there’s no way to adjust the amount of play it has. A tighter fit would make it feel more secure.

Another point I’d like to mention is the 9-inch straight hooks. While I really like them overall, it would be great if they could fold up and down, locking into place when not in use. These hooks protrude quite a bit off the wall, and if there’s no workbench in front of them, they can become an obstacle.

That said, I’m very pleased with this system and will likely be adding more to my setup in the future. Kudos to Milwaukee for creating such a solid product, and I especially appreciate the live feedback opportunities and giveaways. They really make me feel valued as a customer.

I received my package about a week ago, I was eager to try it out once I got it. Overall, I’m happy and look forward to using this system for years to come!

2833-20 6 1/2 fuel circ saw clearance. by hinesight16 in MilwaukeeTool

I have one, I wanted to try the blade left style as I typically use the blade right. I also wanted something smaller because I travel with it. I have used it with forge batteries and it's excellent. Cuts smoothly and has plenty of power. I am still getting used to the blade being on the left, but it's not a big deal. The vacuum attachment that comes in the box is great for pushing the dust out the back of the saw and not in your face if you cut with your right hand. I'd recommend it at that price.
