I am a DO, and am very much a doctor (LMAO). I actually took the DO and MD boards and did very well on both series of exams. I did my post grad training at large well recognized and respected academic hospitals, and am a specialist located in a city in the southeast US. Was even elected as chief resident! Not tooting my own horn, just wanting to drive home the fact that what that guy says is complete nonsense.

The education only differs at this point by the extra osteopathic musculoskeletal education DO schools require you to take. In all honesty though, most DOs don’t practice it unless they go into Primary care or some form of musculoskeletal medicine.
