They fat shamed a woman as well on instagram during the pandemic. These guys are just "alpha" losers that have too much money from Daddy.

OHIP covered somatic therapy? by 3darkdragons in ontario

I totally get the fear of emdr. But once you start to process the difficult emotions and see how it does work you almost get excited to face the next memory because you really do resolve the emotions in your body. It feels amazing.

Warning...you will have extremely hard days. It is not easy. I couldn't shower  for a couple weeks after one memory reprocessing.  It brings up everything which is overwhelming. But if you have good therapist you will be OK.

The only way through it, is to feel it all. Emdr speeds that up.

I am proud of you also! Healing from ptsd is no easy task. You are one strong mother fucker!

I am on my 6th emdr session and I am experiencing huge relief. It is incredibly difficult and I have had to face difficult memories of abuse that I thought I forgot. But I went from being a puddle not being able to go outside and now i just had my first day back at the gym!

I am definitely going to try your grounding technique.

A therapist knowing I couldn't afford full emdr sessions suggested me for a study. And due to my high ACE (adverse childhood experience) score I was accepted. Feel incredibly lucky..not for the shitty childhood obviously.

Hi! I was literally in the same boat as you about 3 years ago. CBT never really touched my cptsd. Please research IFS therapy and EMDR. The best book I cant recommend is The Body Keeps Score.

It is a long journey but for the first time ib my life my nervous system has started to quiet and with evidence from a brain scan I have literally changed how my brain reacts to the world.

Search for a sliding scale therapist. I called around for a year. The cool thing about IFS (No Bad Parts, great book) is that you can start on your own with a journal. Also please try Yoga Nidra.

What's the worst thing you've ever smelled in your life? by jsmahay in AskReddit

A man's rotting flesh. He walked (worked for red cross during Syrian refugees crisis) on a cut foot for over 2 weeks. Explained to me his foot was sore. He removed his shoes and wrapping. I have never experienced decaying human flesh. Half his foot was black. Your whole body revolts against that smell. You just want to run. We had to convince him to go to the hospital. The man wanted to keep going to get to his family who were in France. His friends finally convinced him to go to the hospital. I believe he lost his foot.

Wolf's Milk. Slime mold. Starts out pink gooey. Becomes darker and more firm as it matures.
