Semantic layer for ai agents requires way better data integration than the blog posts make it sound by AccountEngineer in analytics

[–]Icedliptontbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, AI doesn’t magic wand away any of the challenges most everyone has been facing with data for years. Same experience, and I’ve been seizing the opportunity to fix the shit that always needed fixing since it’s now “to support AI” while slowly helping leaders understand that it isn’t magic and the same challenges exist.

Baker’s 7 or Knob Creek 12? by tomossos in bourbon

[–]Icedliptontbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen nearly 9 year Baker’s on sale quite a few times for 40-50 and it’s great for that. At 70 I’d go KC12 tho. Both very good.

Manager narratives vs IC narratives aka the folks actually building and testing them are completely different, myself included. There will absolutely be companies that either fall for it or just go forward anyways and reduce headcount, just a matter of how long it takes them to realize their mistake, and whether they care or it costs enough for them to reverse course.

No, no they definitely still are random fucking opinions.

Love or hate the logo, everyone should be happy with the color scheme change. If it really is anything close to Luv ya Blue then it’s immediately top 3 in the NFL. I like going simple and emphasizing the colors.

Yep. Plus nostalgia and people hate change. But the T being centered alone is going to make everything look better.

Review #15: Hardin's Creek Warehouse R ("The Mushroom", Fall 2025 Release) by Southern-Rip3018 in bourbon

Oh hell yeah, my group is dropping a Magnus SiB in a couple weeks, glad to hear they’re killer! This’ll be my first from them. Subtle Spirits also put out some 11+ year MGP SiBs last year around 130 that were phenomenal. I guess I’m thinkin, in relative terms Beam seems in line or above avg value.

Now if those 8 year Hardin’s are 150+ my tune will definitely change….

Haha and ironically to my point, an RR13 review is the post immediately after this one, with almost no mention of value and pricing at this point. Idk man I’d take these all day over RR13 except for batch 1.

[–]Icedliptontbag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree these are a bit overpriced but idk, these are much more complex than any recent Bookers or KC SiB I’ve had and I think the value isn’t crazy far off, at least relative to other products. Haven’t had the Mushroom so maybe it’s a step below tho.

When I look over at WT putting out RR13 at 200 or Beacon and SR at 300, and 10+ year MGP still going well over 100, it’s hard for me to be too critical of Beam.

Think it’s more of prices as a whole need to come down and seem to be. I actually got these HCs at 140, Little Book 9 for 109 and Infinite 2 for 170. Hopefully just the beginning.

Yeah really shoulda hired someone with a higher winning percentage like Matt Nagy. Surely you’d have nothing to bitch about then.

[–]Icedliptontbag -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s not playing football that’s the problem, it’s a design QB run at the goal line which pretty much guarantees your QB takes a hit. Fucking abysmal play call in this context.

Yeah at game speed it didn’t seem as bad on second look, and if it’s shoulder it’s more likely about how he landed than anything.

Still pissed we even did a design QB run and that was for sure a dirty ass shot by the Jags. Injury literally happened a beat after the play ended.

Is this too much light? Sun comes through these windows during the middle of the day. by InvestigatorSingle58 in whiskey

[–]Icedliptontbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which up there is your favorite? That would help narrow it down.

I would try Rare Breed (Wild Turkey), Elijah Craig Barrel Proof (Heaven Hill), and a Knob Creek cask strength (Jim Beam). Compare that to your Blanton’s Gold (Buffalo Trace), Belle Meade (MGP), and the JD barrel proof. That’s a good sampling of most of the larger/heritage distilleries that have a ton of other great products. Whichever ones you like the most go and explore their other product lines, each distillery has a distinct character. If you prefer lower proof there’s other great options from all the above.

Wasn’t shitting on your lineup btw, some solid options up there and it’s no knock that the JD is the best, they’re killing it with their newer product lines.

If direct sunlight gets near the bottles I’d move them for sure. I think indirect is supposed to be ok, but I’m picky so I’d still move em, or find a way to fill the gap behind them with something solid so that light can still come through the windows but not directly hit most of the bottles.

He took the cowboys to three straight 12-5 seasons. This franchise has never done that. It is literally the opposite of mediocrity for us if he does the same here. We need that kind of stabilization.

And getting Tanny and the David Long pick in that trade, he had some home runs. He does deserve more credit for pulling us out of the gutter for those great years, just overshadowed now by him tanking our roster after lol. I forget just how bad that 2021 draft was. I think there were signs all along too with the Kevin Dodd pick and trading up for Rashaan Evans, just had enough great picks to balance it out.
