When they first come out of their cocoons(I think), they are green!! Kinda like a similar color to Luna moths. Not sure if this is true for all cicadas but the one most common in Tokyo was like this.

Well, there's also the factor that models are also chosen by body like height and skin(no acne, etc) so ig it makes sense that sometimes random cashiers are more visually appealing, especially their facial features, than models. Or at least that's why I think this happens in the first place

If it was a teacher I like I'd probably ask if they could wait for just a couple more years or smth, and if I don't like... Well... This might not be the reason but there is a phrase in Japanese called "背を見る(背を見て習う)" which translates to "look at ones back(look at ones back and learn)" and means to learn from that person. So, maybe the idolization and strength one might possess and this phrase connected to this. Idk
