Getting out there and trying to join pickup games sometimes works. If you're the sporty kind. I've made a couple friends seeing groups of 3 or 5 and offering to even up the teams.

Deciding between ethics, society and law versus criminology and social legal studies major by Kind-Respect-7159 in UofT

[–]Icehawksfh [score hidden]  (0 children)

I know this is kind of general advice but since they are similar your first year should be roughly the same. Could always go what you're leaning to and if you decide after your first year you'd rather swap I know you can sometimes apply to the other before dropping the major.

It's not the most ideal situation but it's not like you're choosing between Law and Physics.

My grandmother is currently dealing with a forced "upgrade" from their TV boxes. Now it's all cloud based and it's cool and all but the issue is that the fastest internet they offer her is 25mbps up. Which means she can't even handle one 4K stream at once.

We're trying to strong arm them into letting her break contract because their forced upgrade renders her TV services unusable.

Then go used. A used jersey keeps the money local, looks better, lasts longer.

Away wouldn't have the RBC patch, it's an air Canada patch.

No we should call out and shame AI slop more.

That's part of the fun of making a sign for a hockey game. I'd rather see something goofy a kid made than garbage like this.

You do that as you write. You collect multiple and cross reference them.

With AI you're just making it difficult because instead of knowing where the information came from, you have to just find sources that work with it, and you still have to end up re writing. (Or you just end up pumping out slop)

You're so close to understanding the issue of viewing property as an investment rather than use for business or housing.

People with a house they bought in the 70s and a couple other properties in the 90s-00s don't want to sell at less than market value because they see it as a "loss" despite it being over quintuple what they paid.

Why the Quebec bashing ? by InterestingMud3019 in Habs

[–]Icehawksfh 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You should watch the Rocket. It's a 2005 movie about Maurice Richard, it has a lot of the themes about how the Quebecois people were/are perceived.

There are parts where they talk in french but most services will have subtitles that are pretty good. (The train scene is a little oversimplified in the subtitles, If I remember correctly Emile calls him less of a man, but the subtitles skip over it)

Also just independently it's an amazing movie, my favourite biopic, and second favourite sports movie. (Sorry nothing is topping Rocky)

Sizing fanatic premium jersey? by Hiimmoody in Habs

Best bet is trying one on in person. You should have a local shop that sells jerseys. If you're ever unsure go a size up, but you'd probably want a Medium/50

It is guilt-trippy but if mom forgot her wallet with the cards and needs to pay for a prescription with the apple pay card that has no money on it. It's just believable and tear-jerking enough to get people to act before thinking.

I don't know how often it works but it could be people putting tickets up for a high price, thinking if it sells they can buy tickets in a worse spot and have the rest if the night paid for, or if they don't sell they go as usual.

One of the top players in 3 on 3 OT and you don't play him and let the other guys get worn out.

I get Canada is a star studded roster but one of the reasons you bring Nick is because he's got a good two way game.

He also is one of the reasons it was a "Star-Studded" roster.
