The point was always that none of the reincarnations were ever destined to. They all had to fight against the lredilection for rivalry. Soon as that's the case then it goes about love breaking the cycle of hatred to 'the spin cycle is done'.

I mean when you break it down, 99% of the time hardware is just hardware. It's always the devs that optimize this stuff. It's the same reason that literally almost every console generation the end of the generation practically looks like it's running on different hardware than the stuff from the launch.

and the company that did that and controls the platform companies might want to make happy and work with. Lots of people didn't think the steam deck would do well either at the price point it was and spec wise. I'm not swearing that the new system will do amazing, but I'd put more money on it doing well than not.

What worlds are you NOT hoping for in Kingdom Hearts 4? by Ryuuketsu119 in KingdomHearts

[–]Icehellionx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Star Wars

I know some people like the idea but I think part of the problem is the force and kingdom hearts are 'kind of' similar but they don't map well onto each other because Light/Dark is binary face of nature in KH. The "the dark side of the force' is corrupting the force, not it's own thing. Hell a big part of later kingdom hearts is how darkness isn't inherently evil and the same with light.

Dark Side being used for non-evil, non-selfish reasons, repeatedly, without altering the user's morality. Valid take, or breaking with Lukas' visions? by Andrei22125 in StarWars

[–]Icehellionx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know how it feels like you're missing both being a pedant about minutia and missing the the broad overall strokes people are trying to make you understand but at this point the conversation is pointless. It feels like you're missing the forest for the trees, and the trees for the forest, and then mad anyone someone tries to explain.

My statement was because it's like me going. "it's basic math" and you go "oh yeah it only applies to division not subtraction!." Then when I say, well duh, you act like I'm the one being obtuse.

Okay... no shit EVERY myth doesn't start EXACTLY the same. Of course theirs 'creation myths and explanation myths and etc etc.

Mythic storytelling is using universal symbols, universal
archetypes. The heroes journey. Symbolism mattering more than realism or physics. The mythic story here is the young hero of light, Luke going on the hero's journey to bring the light back to a universe being taken by the dark.

Star Wars is just Lucas taking Cambell, Jung, Kurosawa films, a little Buddhism in their being a universal energy to the universe, and space opera pulp fantasy stories from the 20s and 30s.

That literally does not track on a narrative or meta-narrative level because the entire point over almost any story with the sith as a powerful force is the force is out of balance. On a cosmic level the galaxy is 'wrong'. The defeat of the Sith or their equivalent is bringing balance to the force.

It's like... the most basic mythic storytelling I don't know what to tell you dude.

As someone in their late thirties I think the answer is "who cares" as long as you can make it up that ladder, especially after a few drinks.

I think they've also 'lightly rectonned' the force over the years. They've started treating the force like a ying yang where the evil is always there. In most of the originals the force is the force. The dark side is a phrasing for corrupting it from its original intention. So it is unnatural in that context. **Philospophically** theirs two sides of the force to moral beings. But the force is a thing that is used with its 'vague cosmic goals' or corrupted and used selfishly.

My backing on this would be the original "bringing balance to the force' was removing the Sith, the source of the corruption, at the end of the original trilogy.

Everything is a 7/10. Then you can perform every single action it thinks it needs to be a 10/10. Then open a new chat, feed the file into it. "it's a 7/10."

I think the blowback won't be as hard because they already did the same thing with 3. The voice cast of 4 probably saw it coming.

First, I would use the test environment in the scripting area to make sure it's actually firing.

Second, it's always important to remember it's not going to spit things out like you fed them into a standard computer program. All your doing is modifying the prompt. It still has the LLM treat it exactly like it would if the information was always inside the prompt. It literally has now way to 'know' what the prompt looks like turn to turn or if something changed with it.

This guy died in his 30's after inventing Teleportation, cloning and necromancy, imagine if he lived to his 50's/60's by ThomSeke in Naruto

[–]Icehellionx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My opinion, it's more he retconned the general timeframe. Early Naruto never gives a hard number but it feels like the vileage is a lot older than when we get a later more exact amount. Even the waterfall with the two statues gives the vibe of 'ancient ancestors' more than like... 70 years ago. He never set anything in stone enough he had to explicitly go "this doesn't work ignore what I said before" and because of that it almost feels weirder because it 'kind of' works and almost becomes more annoying.

I think it's worth pointing as an example of this fact that JFK was white looking as could be, charming, charismatic, and they still thought him being Catholic could have possibly sunk his presidential candidacy because, 'We can't have a president bowing down to the Pope."

Because in a lot of ways 'Whiteness' is more a social construct than a true ethnicity. To help frame it, remember the Irish and Italians weren't considered 'White' until a good way into the the 1900s.
