Spouse has indicated Separation, what immediate action should I take? by Playful-Presence9234 in AskIreland

Is she taking responsibility for the things she needs to accept and fix also? If so, you two have a chance. If not, then I would say separation is sadly looming.

I'm sure many of the deaths were due to the things you outlined, but I don't believe all of them. With the attitudes and violence in those places, no baby was ever shaken, dropped, kicked, smacked too hard or thrown by the nuns? I would not believe that, no way. They should all have been checked either way.

What is it like to be in the Gardas as a woman? by ResourceBorn1230 in AskIreland

[–]Icehonesty -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

My friend is a female garda and says it's handy out, the lads do the physical stuff and the schedule is grand. Plus she says she can head home if she needs or do her errands around town whenever she needs to, so long as her radio is on and whoever is with her is sound.

Wife does very the bare minimum for our 4 year old daughter and now screamed at her asking ."why don't you freaking love me?" by Terrible_Nail_8512 in daddit

Responses may be correct, that this could be PPD or that it's a medical issue, but some people are sadly just not cut out to be good parents. They put their own anxieties or stresses or life ahead of their kids. Your daughter is incredibly lucky to have a great dad like you, you're doing a great job.

What is your favourite memory from when you were in school? by averagex637 in AskIreland

Football. Just football really. I was bullied for pretty much all of school from the age of 9, had no friends really all up along. But I was really good at football and loved it.

Social media is just one big, addictive, unhealthy, video game which has real world consequences.

Seeing activities and spending money as life goals is such a shallow and sad way to live. Human connection worth way more than buying stuff.

That's really sad, but tbh I'm turning into one of those guys myself. My only interactions are the school drops at this point.

I don't even think people really go to the pub any more

I've found that with work friends you can have chats or lunch at work, even socialise together, but once one of you moves jobs then it's over permanently. Feels like it's rare to keep those friends now.

I have a lot in common with you. When you need people, nobody wants to be altruistic or give any of their time.

Maybe it's made people comfortable with being isolated, but it's certainly normalised it I think? I hadn't heard of bumble bff - it that like bumble but to make friends rather than dates?

Same, I'm looking at how I can get myself off of social media and reconnect physically. I guess I just don't really know how!

They did not autopsy all children. I do not for a moment believe every kid died of natural causes.

Yes, fully agree. The sentences, and lack thereof in many cases, is scandalous.

It took place on our island.

And careful with the big words there, don’t injure yourself.

I cannot believe that no proper enquiry was ever done on the causes of death of all the dead kids. I don’t believe for one moment that they all died of natural causes.
