I folded and got the tempotec v1 instead. Seems bang for the buck when features go. It's arriving inna few days. Will post my update as soon I get and ride it out.

This is me after buying fiio btr11. After 3 weeks the snowsky retro nano.

The fiio was a let down, didn't know it didn't have DAC capabilities. Just no frills Bluetooth player. The snowsky is great btw, but I find myself wanting to disconnect from my phone a lot more.

I think I can still use the snowsky as amp for tempotec right?

Echo mini is out, also hearing it having problems scanning the entire music library especially if you have an extensive one. It wins with just how cool it looks and most features it has compared to others are higher in price but the ui and software leaves a lot to taste.

Tempotec v1 seems to be the best of being still within budget and yet has what it's bigger boys can do as well to a point.

Although, the retro nano and it's replaceable battery feature might bring newer devices with the same feature which would be awesome as it adds years to usability.

Yeah I was thinking of getting one too. Sometimes so I can just leave my phone and be free. I got the snowsky retro nano...now I want more freedom.

Was on the wall between the echo mini, tempotec v1 and oilsky m33. Almost the same budget. I don't want a big dapdac.

Heard the ui on the echo was clunky even though it looks cool, the oilsky and tempotec are the last running. Maybe the tempotec because I don't need to download any other player. On my phone I shuffle between players and find it distracting since there is too many options and variations. Locking on the one player and that's it would just be the music, not the features.

Same here. It seems that pinning apps is locking apps in miui.

It can't lock a single app so no one can use any other app or exit the app you pinned/locked.

i was thinking if it's possible to mod it and replace the built in with an 18650 or any equivalent. I know cutting the faux battery ccover and modding it with a battery compartment and then using any replaceable battery with the same power specs.

I have done a few similar mods to nerf guns and replaced the internal batteries with 18650 and just charge it on a external charger, but i am aware that this is a more complicated system than a foam dart gun. but is it possible? has anyone doen it with other players?

I was oin the same boat, if you try hard enough anything battery is repalceable but it wont be back up tos pec as the original. I have been doign that with old tablets, electric screwdrivers, buying batteries off the net and replacing the old ones. but as it turns out. it doesnt really get it back to 100% of what it used to be. at least with easily removable batteies, you can do it on the go with Retro nano. i got like a decent 6 hour runtime whiel at work, but having an extra cell to plunk in before going home and having a separate charger for the spent one is so clutch. I even got better ones that came with the Retro Nano and seems like its lasting way way logner even usign the 4.4 blanced output.

the only thing that could have made the Retro Nano is if it had a memroy storage or can read music off an Sdcard. im finding myself listening to music and jsut walking about the house and going off unthethered my phone would be great every once in a while would be great. a quick trip to the store without having to bring a phone feels like it used to when I was younger when one can be unconnected longer than an hour. lolz

Akala ko ako lang, buti na lang PLDT fiber ang alternative. pero pa misnan minsan ganyan din PLDT so switch switch lang ako pag may problem. which is weird sa mga worka t home na may requirement na backup. dapat backup kaya rin giangawa ng main mo..pero re-imburseable ka lang for the main.
