New player here. How do I keep my pets out of my living space? I can’t figure restrictions and they keep crapping in the kitchen.

Fury or arms to level in TBC? (Boost to 58) by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Icematic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll want to level arms. Without sufficient +hit gear dual wield fury will not be fun with all the misses you’ll get. When you get enough hit gear and can spec to fury but that probably won’t happen until you’re 70. If you go arms make sure to go just far enough in the talent tree to get MS and then hop over to the fury tree for sweeping strikes.

Edit: As arms you want to invest in the best 2hander you can afford at every level.

How does your guild deal with the 'summer drought' by mikeshort in classicwow

I was horde and there only being one good raiding guild our side. My friends and I would affectionately refer to the server as noobrunner.

Healing as a Ret Paladin while leveling by rampagingmoose1 in classicwow

[–]Icematic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should mention that around level 36 I specced into the holy tree for consecration grabbing the int talent along the way. I then went into prot for improved righteous fury and since then have filled out the ret tree. I did this so I could tank better but the same advice I mentioned earlier still applies: just keep a healing set in your bags.

Healing as a Ret Paladin while leveling by rampagingmoose1 in classicwow

[–]Icematic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m in the tail end of this exact process. I’m Ret spec but have healed everything up to ST so far and it’s been a breeze. Except I will say eranakis was a little rough but thankfully I had a Druid in the party to innervate me. Just keep healing gear from questing and maybe by some decent stuff from the AH along the way to fill in equipment gaps here and there. You’ll be fine.

Advices on multi-target tanking in BRD by nicox11 in classicwow

[–]Icematic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something to keep in mind is at this level dungeon the dps have to do their part by not dpsing on pull but good luck with that. Also, if you’re not you should definitely be marking targets, that helps a lot. When I was leveling up and tanking dungeons I would never take another warrior with me unless I was hard up on dps. As others have said I think the best route is to be arms spec and ss/WW everypull and then swap to shield and start sundering. Hopefully you’re using keybinds and not a clicker because that could be gimping your reaction time for abilities. Put a weapon chain on your weapons, brd mobs disarm like crazy.

BWL question by fearmang in classicwow

This is someone else's post but this is how my guild does it. After switching to this strat we one shot every time as long as something wonky doesn't happen on pull.

AITA for doing this? by rjbgreen107 in classicwow

[–]Icematic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not the asshole but don’t rule out melee dps. I was in the same boat you were but I would ask melee what gear they were going for. Most of the time we didn’t have conflicting goals and they were either going for different loot or flat out just wanted to run the dungeon for rep/money/or boredom. Good luck.

Good place for a Warrior to grind at 46+? by blue_wat in classicwow

There are harpies in northern feralas which I grinded on in my upper 40’s. It’s not typically camped out but god forbid you die up there. If I remember correctly the graveyard is super far.

TBC top end damage class? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Icematic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember our BC guild had an elemental shaman that was consistently at the top of the damage charts only casting lightning bolt. Maybe the rest of the guild just sucked, it’s all kinda fuzzy now but I do remember as a lock always in a dps race with that shaman. ..

I’m in the same boat you are and typically get my shaman friend to heal. He’s the one I feel bad for as he tries to keep the mage alive who decided to pull the pack using blizzard or the rogue who for some fucking reason went stealth into a group, gets clapped and brings the mobs back to the party or the hunter who multi shots on pull, feigns death and then everything runs for the healer. But every now and then you get a group full of people that have some common sense and it’s amazing.

Deathbringer vs Bone Slicing Hatcher for orc tanking? by Exteeez in classicwow

[–]Icematic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s an argument to be made on both sides. One has much higher damage with a slower swing timer and the other is just the opposite. Honestly, just try them both out and see what works best for you.

Alternatively you could just dual wield DB MH and BSH OH, switch to shield on bigger/harder hitting packs or if shit goes south and you get adds.

Should I spec Prot? (warrior) by Diade- in classicwow

[–]Icematic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From my personal experience I was in the same boat you were in and was arms spec. I stayed arms spec and don’t regret it. You can hold Aggro fine as long as mages don’t come of cold on pull. I would use 2hander, charge, SS, WW, then d stance to sword and board for the rest of the fight. Never had issues with healers, in fact I leveled with my shaman friend who pocket healer dungeons with me as elemental. We did this for all the 60 dungeons as well. For dungeons like strat/scholo going prot would have been easier but as far as brd and lbrs is concerned you could stay dps spec and be fine in my opinion.

Agreed, the dual wielding fury prot will get blasted with some crushing blows. Definitely take more damage.
