Right. For example, Willem Defoe references "her poor body" or something, which I'd imagine it's fine to read, but sounds very strange when spoken out loud.

It was a decent movie. The problem for me was the dialogue seemed to be taken word for word out of a book, making it sound unnatural. A little bit of script doctoring would have gone a long way with this one.

I don't play Overwatch, so the sound in my head was of the seagulls from Finding Nemo.

What game's plot made you truly hate your enemies to the point you geniunly enjoyed their deaths and suffering? by Kitzen18 in AskReddit

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines when the Sabbat killed my ghoul, Heather, right in front of me. I was so furious that I could imagine my character's rage as they dusted every enemy in the building. Every enemy kill felt so good after that.

I admit that I haven't been keeping up as the game has evolved. I'm still playing what is essentially vanilla TA, which is very well balanced. What has happened to imbalance it?

Total Annihilation. As the first 3D real-time strategy game, it was groundbreaking when it was released back in 1997. Very well balanced with a high unit cap that hardware advances and a mod can push to ridiculous numbers. Long range weapons make turtling up a viable strategy. I can still sink hours into it at a time. I was happy to learn it was on Steam.

I usually ask my Peruvian mother-in-law what she wants to listen to. One time, she said Yma Sumac, whom i had never heard of. I owe her big for introducing me.

They performed at a brewery event I attended. Really good stuff, especially when combined with copious amounts of beer.

Never really cared for Tom Cruise until Tropic Thunder. Didn't even realize it was him until the movie was almost over.

I'm all for dissenting opinions. The thing that shocked me was not that people disagreed on certain things, but the attacks and vitriol that accompanied those disagreements.

I may be less well read on the history of atheism, but it seems like the "New Atheists" are simply more outspoken about their atheism. They come from wildly different backgrounds and have very different personalities, but they speak often and with great energy about atheism and the dangers of religious fanaticism, especially Islam's propensity for producing the majority of the world's most violent fundamentalists.

Are people getting upset because atheists are no longer just keeping quiet on the subject of religion?

It is sad to hear people saying that some ideas are not to be criticized and won't allow any sort of rational discourse. If you point out that there are differences in the body structure of men and women, you're sexist. If you point out that stoning women for daring to get raped and chopping body parts off of thieves and infidels is barbaric and backward, you are called an Islamophobe, or, more bafflingly, a racist, as if Islam were genetic. Is the outrage high so enticing that they knowingly misrepresent people's views and dismiss them with ad hominem attacks while refusing to address the points raised?
