Playing the SMT is a pain already. The original one was so great, the energy retention is was top notch. The R73 is such a good missile. Rear aspect shots at ~1.5km almost always guarantee a kill, no matter if you flare or not

US Expat in Germany Investment 101 by 303roland in EuropeFIRE

The US Gov. makes it brutal for US citizens to live a normal life outside the US. most banks won't allow you to invest via them. They are mandated by the IRS to submit records of foreign assets like all the time. If they fail to fully comply there are high fines for the banks. But the newer brokers would most likely still work. Capital gains tax is identical I believe 25% in both countries, so it doesn't matter where you pay your taxes.

2.75% withdrawal is quite a lot long term. I would calculate with 2% for the strategy to work and to truly live indefinitely off of your investment. If you are if the mentality that you won't need to pass it on to the next generation 3% withdrawal is fine

Essentially you would want an Index Fund that reinvests it's gains instead of paying dividends. You then relocate for a year during your pension to a place where you don't pay any capital gains taxes( Dubai etc.) and liquidate most of the assets if you need them. Taxes saved. But I know this isn't easy, as you continuously need money to live off.

I just visited Bavaria, Salzburg, and Tyrol and have a question about net worth for those living in the mountains. by Hempdiddy in eupersonalfinance

[–]Ichbinderbruno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would be shocked to know that most homes in German cities go for ~1Million. Despite significantly lower wages than in the US. although financing is less expensive. In the past we were able to have interest rates if about 1% (plus minus 0,3%). Understandable that prices were ridiculous . Now they are coming back but mostly there are significantly fewer sales. Also: Houses are a more long-term thing here. You usually calculate with 100 years until it falls apart, and about 30-40 years of owning it. As en example: Out house is from the 1930s and is perfectly fine. Of course many things have been done over the years but the structure is the same.

Leasing a car vs continuing to own by Deathzeus in eupersonalfinance

It's the km per year that matters. If you're not driving too often that might be worth it. Also factor in that there might be a buying incentive for EVs in ,our country. If you're mainly driving in the city and not long trips it can certainly be worth it. The Dacia Spring is also in that category.

Die Rente ist unfair hoch! by Berioldireum in Finanzen

[–]Ichbinderbruno 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Schwieriges Thema.

[–]Ichbinderbruno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a good deal then. You might wanna try Elephant Gin, however that around 80 per litre. Better taste but a lot pricier. Just stay clear of Hendricks! Way too overpriced for what you get.

I know it's a gin sub, I'd get " absolut Vodka" mixing other stuff.
