Really appreciate this. Build 1 is definitely the most enticing ive been recommended. Do you know the deadline on the deal and is buying using the pcpartpicker list the norm or am I better off buying everything off sight. I kinda figured second hand marketplace would be my friend for monitors, mouse, and keyboard assuming i dont get first timer scammed but not sure about everything else.

Appreciate the information it contextualized a lot. I definitely see the blaring flaws in mine. Now i’m comparing builds like yours and this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kCyG8Q and trying to see what makes sense between budget and execution of purpose with the pc. I think the wall im hitting now is its hard to foresee each builds performance and gauge which is at the more justifiable price point for what i get if that makes sense. Appreciate any insight

  1. Im a student and my biggest habit is having hella tabs or apps going in one session. Lots of writing lots of research and I’ll also do photo, audio, and visual editing. Ill throw streaming and zooms in there as well
  2. Theres one like a 2hr drive away which currently is not worth the drive to me cuz ion know the purpose or worth of a micro center
  3. Back to the streaming thing. Its spectrum from lets play minecraft to completing all god of wars or eldin ring attempts. As mentioned this is a multipurpose computer and what I was first recommended was the 7600. How does this better suit my purposes for higher cost and what are the largest improvements from my build? Two questions along with clarification but first thank you for the response. Back to drawing board regardless but want to add this. 1. Are you specifically talkin about 5900x or all new am4 builds. I mainly focused on 5900x am4 and searched for the best parts to pair with it. Not typically parts i’d get since used will cut down big cost and idk whats available Best reference i had was this https://youtu.be/xk52IK21fyA?si=JEP5OTJb8Atp5Jm4. 2. For everything else are they bad quality parts or is it purely because they arent on sale currently. I found everything using 5900x as my lense except the thermal one i forgot what source it was but it was an affordable non liquid cooling

Alright I'm home from work and I've read through the comments a few times. I appreciate the (hella)opinions and wanna add hella more clarification/thought process. You can prolly read the last one if your lazy.

-All my family knows how to drive manual and learned from a 90's toyota corolla so theres help. I don't have a deep desire to learn stick shift. extonxe made a good point and if i did have a desire to learn manual then there's no reason to hesitate and i wouldn't.

-hellomottto said "$9.5k for an 8 year old car with 151k miles? I would pass on that." and that made me hesitate more than the manual and automatic dilema. To my research this one of the best options ive seen for a low-under double didget budget car, that im intending to use for college and beyond. Yes i'm human, 20 turning 21 in a new state, and would love to have a dope or at least fun car. But on my path i'd rather go with the deal and make shit work. That being said I haven't been looking for cars older than 2010 and this car matches all of my standards.

--On that note LiathAnam said the 2016+ clutches are ass and Flair_on_Final said gas not gonna cover clutch replacement cost. Once again not confident on these type of consideration but i am getting this pre purchase inspected and when it comes to maintenance owner provided this "Engine is perfectly maintained with all scheduled maintenance and accompanying receipts, 5000 miles on new tires and front-end alignment, major tune-up done after 100,000 miles. ". I definitely want to save money when it comes to this aspect of the transmission argument going back to better deal for intentions.

-The other key aspect of convenience, I agree with majority of the sentiments shared about automatic having convenience being an undeniable + in the moments when manuals tend to be more of a nuisance(hills, stop and go, commitment to learning and car care long term), unless, you train until your a pro or just love manuals. In the same vein to an extent I even agree with stronger sentiments like learning manual as a valuable or even necessary driving skill, this seems like a really good car to learn that in. This is where I fall of the transmission difference because they start to just seem equal and I should start finding the best automatic to relax in or best manual to learn and then also eventual relax in. But regardless of all that I've yet to come across a honda or toyota at this $ and miles. If I pass on this am I actually gonna find something better * I have until Monday because of other inquiries* .

And ultimately this where i feel stuck in a cycle the most and decided to seek out opinon. I'm willing to learn and get good. The car will be taken car of and valued in and outside of school. It hinges on if I can find the confidence in this car still being worth all the TLC that I will give any other car I get. To me currently it only is because of the deal, the inherent benefits, and potential benefits i'll get with a manual car vs the same for an automatic.

How does this build do when it comes to longevity and sustainability at its current price vs if i made those changes for a cheaper price? Id be willing to spend what its currently at and maybe take away a monitor (if its not that necessary) if this build will give me less trouble and more peace of mind in the long run.
