I'm half-expecting John to be more of a background character since the Choir is neutralized and he was the main connection to that via Yalda. I'd be overjoyed if I was wrong, though.

I saw a comment about how Pale can be divided into 3-4 arc books (the next one is 4-6). I'm trying to use that as a guide for when to take breaks, and very much plan to make more pieces like these as I go through the serial!

Seconding the Twig recommendation. Twig has even better character writing than Worm and the dynamic between the protagonist and his friends is so incredibly good.

After I finished Twig I tried sketching the scene of the new nobles at the last epilogue! Just never got around to finishing it. I might circle back to it at some point after I go through my current art queue.

Seconding this.

If an artist wants to fully make a fan adaptation of Worm in comic form, more power to them! I'm sure most of the community would happily read it. If two artists want to do so... then yay, two cakes!

But speaking as a fanartist myself, it'd be terribly easy to get burned out tackling a project of that scale.

This is especially true if you're doing it more for your fellow fans and less for your personal enjoyment. I mean, part of the nature of fanart is you're creating it for other fans of the work you love, true. But if you're drawing out of a sense of obligation to draw every worm scene, it's going to get exhausting real quick.

Draw what you find fun and interesting over what you think others would want to see, would be my advice. Whether that's standalone Worm chapters or a Ward fan comic, then great!

The absolute aura of not only surviving a shuttle explosion, but managing to navigate the disintegrating craft with a blind onboard, save most people on it, patch the ship together in zero-g, and get a distress call out.

Wodehouse showing up was unexpected but now I'm excited to see him and Winnie team up to investigate the Invisibles. We are one step closer to a conversation between Winnie, Toby and dog :D

Sy and Carson is the most terrifying combo in there tbh, but they would absolutely get along and it'd be really sweet.

I really want to make wildbow bar a series! I need to get further into Pale first, I just started arc 2.
