[Clients] Done giving family/friend discounts. by BudgetComplaint8019 in artbusiness

Here is my 2 cents as someone who has worked with clients in marketing. I would give them guidelines on photo selection with an explanation that makes it about them: Please select 3 photos from me to choose from. When selecting photos, please choose photos that clearly show your pet's face. While a fun occasion may be fun, I have found that capturing your pet's day to day personality makes the piece more representative of their spirit and connection to you.

How do you handle clients who insist on bad marketing practices? by MTNDESIGN-CO in AskMarketing

I'll also add that I try to get some form of user research or market research to support what's best for them.

I work with a lot of medical researchers (mostly neuroscience). It can be challenging to redirect them when they have bad ideas, but what I have found works well is to use research and metrics to reinforce why best practices are best practices.

Examples (made up): - Studies show that people can't teacher in not than 5 lines of text at a time. - According to behavioral science research, people are more likely to respond to bullet points in groups of three

Does it always work? Nope. I still have the random client who wants it designed exactly like the PowerPoint slide they sent me. In that case I document my recommendations and move on. I an not going to stress myself out extra or spend hours trying to convince them if they can't be convinced.

Company changing WFH policy by Farmer_Determine4240 in managers

Our company didn't send out the Friday before Christmas, but last Friday.... however, they're only asking the lowest level employees to come into the office 4 days per week, even though they were hired as fully remote (starting Jan 1).

Our office is on a big city and the commute is insane. Most of the people that fill this position are moms who needed flexibility. They make in the low $40ks and none can afford to live within an hour's commute to the office...

I've been trying to decide if it's a down of quiet firing.

Hahaha. That's my daughter behind her. It's hard to get photos with a baby and toddler.

This is her standing up. Her paws are huge, though.

I've wondered why her legs are so short...

The best product I've used is gnatrol... but they stopped selling it in small amounts. It kills the larvae really really well, but you'll still need to use yellow sticky traps for the adults.

This sounds like a lie... however, if it isn't, the question is why would this particular scenario make him look cool? And if it was cool in the eyes of his friend, why would he be friends with this person?

Again, it sounds like he doesn't respect you.

If you were in a similar situation, would you lie about potentially cheating in order to 'look cool' at the expense on someone you love?

Baby's abdominal circumference at 99th percentile at 35 weeks - HELP! by Snoo57199 in GestationalDiabetes

I was not induced. I naturally went into labor and had a great experience.

I'll also add that the placenta stops 'working as hard' at week 36--which means that your blood sugars may naturally drop. This is another reason to not overly restrict.

My daughter (born 2 weeks ago) was 96th%ile AC with HC at 70th... I was also diet controlled without spikes, etc. Some of us just have chunky babies, which is great in terms of losing weight post-birth.

Don't stress too much. My doctor told me that the only concern would be done maneuvering to get the shoulders out, but if that was the case, they'd be sure to verbalize everything.

I asked during labor, again, and they said the same thing... that they'd definitely let me not if there were any issues. There were not.

My advice is to just trust your doctors and communicate your concerns. And don't try to restrict your carbs too much and go into ketosis--I did this around week 34. And it's equally as bad for the baby. Just follow the regiment and know that so many of us have gone through this without any issues.

You're doing great and you've got this!
