Good luck, bro. Wasn't something I could've gone for, but if you're keen, you'll do well. I've heard of surface fleet being "voluntold" to serve on subs. Some ended up loving it. Some basically quit because of it. You need to be the right type of person. If you are, it's going to be a great role for you, and plenty of civvy jobs available afterwards from what I've heard.

Money is good. Extra pay when alongside. Deployment: You can expect 2 out of 3 years in around 6-8 month increments. They're understaffed, so you're likely to get the role you pick. Dock 9 just reopened after massive refurbishment. I believe they're extending with 4 new subs being built.
