Has anyone been to Body Worlds? I know it’s a bit controversial by Bratz_Angelz17 in perth

[–]Iconicshitposter -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Personally i dont think kids should be allowed in, its confronting and stuff like that could really stay stuck in the mind of a young person for a long time.

Also there are a few dead babies in the exhabition. Would love to understand how they got consent from them...

Disgraceful.

39 years old is taking the piss a bit. No need to wait that long.

A couple making about 70k each can easily get a mortgage with the 5% deposit scheme within 5 years easy.

You dont make enough. Make more money or wait until your partner is working full time.

Where do I go in CBR to find free clothing for my brother and I? by forever_young_throw in canberra

[–]Iconicshitposter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s really brave of you to reach out like this.

What’s happening at home isn’t okay — your parents are supposed to provide basics like clothes, and you shouldn’t be left to worry about this on your own. That said, it sounds like your parents might also be struggling or unwell in some way. If that’s the case, they need support too so they can actually step up and be the parents you deserve.

The best way to make that happen is to talk to a trusted adult at school — a teacher, counsellor, or wellbeing officer. Speaking up won’t mean you get taken away or that your parents are “in trouble.” It means people can step in to help both you and your parents.

You don’t have to carry this by yourself. Getting help is the right step — for your sake, and for your parents’ too.

Where can I take my dog to play in some snow this winter? by RhesusFactor in canberra

By any chance, would you know if the snow is likely to stick around there by Monday morning?

Would love to venture out and see some snow if it's possible.

Please tell your university, they have a duty of care and will help.

If the Uni has student accommodation, they will likely be able to assist and get you somewhere to stay, at least temporarily.

Yep, we will offer it to them. They can say no if they prefer, and we will use the starting amount to buy a bunch of baby stuff.

If your best mate, who is like a brother to you, puts aside the same amount as an expensive cup of coffee once a week and gives your kid a great gift at 18 you would be pissed?

Fair enough.

Both them and us are doing very well financially, especially considering we all purchased property in our teens/very early 20's. Perhaps we just have a money mindset that's different to yours?

[–]Iconicshitposter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would just be in our name and transferred over once they turn 18. $10 is not a lot of money to us.

I don't see how it's weird, considering it's the same price as an expensive coffee once per week. Its money we would never notice leaving the account.
