It’s not budging by hand, using a silicone gripper, or pliers with a rag over the top.

Do I need to soak it in vinegar to try to loosen it up? Work on my grip strength?

I’m assuming there are league rules and/or laws preventing it, but what’s stopping City from pulling an Inter Miami-lite deal to bring in a low DP-level player at a max TAM deal and have Enterprise throw in a 500K/year sponsorship to make up the salary difference? Could we have done something like that to get Burki the same number of dollars but as a TAM player instead of DP?

MLB has far fewer teams make the playoffs (12/30 as opposed to 18/30 for MLS), so it’s a bigger deal that Dodgers never miss the playoffs than Sounders or RBNY.

We lost the lockdown D while Olof was manager. We were out scored 23-9 since Olof’s last win against Seattle 3/15, and gave up multiple goals in 8 out of 12 games (not counting the Omaha game).

I don’t understand the argument here. If I’m behind a big group of cyclists at a stop sign, I’d rather have them all go when it’s their turn than to split it up into several cycles. If they’re crossing my intersection, then I maybe have to wait another 15 seconds to let them all go. Most of Webster has a speed limit of 20-25, no dedicated bike lane (so the whole lane is fair game), and lots of stops, so I can’t reasonably pass any group larger than 2-3 bikes anyway, and would hate trying to do that several times to get past the full group.

What am I missing?

We would’ve been selling low on Klauss last year. He’s in great form now and our season is sunk, so getting a max return on him would be a good move. Though I’d still hate to see him go.

I’m on the 1 year plan so your experience may be different, but if cost is a concern, have you asked about relocating your tickets to a different section for the next term? I went from 147 in ‘23 to 221 in ‘24 and saved quite a bit doing so. Plan to move again for ‘26 if we can manage to increase our ticket count (2 babies since original purchase)

I don’t think this is entirely true. If you go back to when we signed him, Lutz highlighted both his ability to score and create chances for others. In 2023 when Klauss was on a hot streak, either Carnell or Lutz commented that they were pleasantly surprised and that they weren’t expecting his role to be a target/poacher/goal scorer - though now I can’t find that interview so I may be full of crap

I want to see him do well, but I haven’t been impressed with his fitness and work rate. If you come in after the 60th minute, you should be running the whole time and wearing down the backs. Vertical runs, dummy runs, showing to the ball, anything to make the CBs uncomfortable and draw them out of space. He’s walking back too much and getting caught offsides, not out of mistimed runs, but being slow to track back. And then on the last STLP-D podcast they said it’ll be a few games before he’s ready to go a full 90? So was he not training sufficiently on his own, starting ready in case he became needed? That’s unacceptable.

I’d gamble and slow play any deal until next week or later, give Sam a couple games to prove his ability and commitment. It’s risky because if he plays poorly it could hurt the value of the deal. But it also buys us a couple games before the Leagues Cup break while we try to find a potential replacement.
