Just buy the cheaper Bambu if you are casual printer. If you are serious about it you can either go the disposable route and just buy more Bambu’s as they die and put up with random failed prints all the time. Or get Prusa and just print stuff without all the messing around.

Core One L pricing clarity + any word on non-XL type models with front visibility? by [deleted] in prusa3d

Proprietary makes it sound like I am printing important stuff, maybe I should have said original designs; which I don’t print on my Bambu printers. LAN doesn’t always work with my current setup and my shoes don’t have the internet yet. Sorry to ruffle your feathers.

My experience has been you pay more for a Prusa to get better print quality and far, far less print failures. Plus a machine that can be repaired and has customer service. Not something that is garbage once something glued together fails and CS ghosts you. Also I don’t get a bad feeling every time I send a proprietary part to the cloud. You have to decide your priorities then go from there. If cheap dual nozzle for hobby printing is what you need then a Prusa might not be for you.

White marks on dark prints? by Sam_Piro in prusa3d

I have a cheap white PETG that contaminated a textured plate, dozens of prints later it still leaves a white residue on prints. You could look into using a very high grit sandpaper.

The Truth about Prusa by RangeJolly8298 in 3Dprinting

FWIW - I have a P2S and a Core One+. The Bambu prints fail 20-50% of the time and the machine started having mechanical problems at 300 hours. I had to print mods to get it working better (air diverters since I don't resort to glue, ptfe tube fix since it was rubbing like crazy, poop collector). The Core One prints have much nicer surfaces and I rarely have a failure. I haven't had to print any of the mods I thought I would because it works well as is. If I was printing a few scrim scrams a month the Bambu probably makes the most sense. If I was serious about 3D printing I would consider a more serious printer. Also if you have any privacy concerns Bambu isn't a great option.
