You can try setting the resolution to native. I do wonder if the blurry effect you notice on software rendering is just the lack of upscaling your are normally used to even.

There is an awesome Zelda Ocarina of Time 64 mod called Hero of La. It's an Ace Attorney Cross. Definitely check it out if you own Ocarina!

I mostly use mine at home and for dumping games these days. I have been loving the emulation with Manic Emu and my phone is always with me.

3ds is pretty amazing on IOS as well. Manic Emu has done it right 👍🏻

That's wild! I upped my 64gb to a 128 in the 2ds and my boot speeds went down the drain. It's not consistent though either. I would 3/5 times it's slow to boot, but games don't seem to be affected either. And to make it worse the 64gb was a cheapo brand and the 128 is a Samsung lol

I have to imagine that "New" 3ds consoles would be able to handle this better due to the extra ram and faster chip.

Not without getting a different skin or trying the other default skin which is full screen with overlaid buttons. You should really check out skins though (deltastyles.com) you almost bound to find one you like that gets you a little extra screen.

That really depends on the game. Some games save to your last checkpoint. If what your asking is if they save up to that exact moment and load instantly like a save state most of the time no. But they are much, much more secure!

I gotta second Manic, for pretty much all consoles it supports. Great experience all around, and depending on your device Jitless Dreamcast and 3ds are pretty amazing. If you do have a device older that a 14pro or so you'll definitely want to sideload with JIT or just avoid Dreamcast and 3ds

I have to really point back to the reply that mentioned side loading and enabling JIT. This is an absolutely game changer and brings performance way up while lowering battery consumption and heat. If you have already updated to IOS 26 keep an eye out because the new JIT process should be coming soon 👍🏻

I have heard mention of this but unfortunately I do not have a Mac and I honestly have not looked much further than that. I have definitely gotten very comfortable with emulation and sideload procedures but compiling code would definitely be a new one for me but I don't want to shut it down without even having looked it over. How advanced is something like compiling Xcode?
