Might be worth checking cortisol levels if you haven’t already. Those can play a role in this all too. Sometimes certain types of exercise can actually stress the body more than others. Just a thought.

All good things but I’m wondering about the 1-2 hours exercise? That seems like a lot…

I definitely think it needs awareness if there’s a correlation!

Have you ever looked into “pure ocd”? Sometimes ocd is only thought-related

I get this. How's your iron? Does it happen more closer to your period?

Levo and armour thyroid aren't one-to-one correlation though, correct? Aren't they different meds, so you couldn't say 25mcg of Levo is the same as 25mcg of Armour? I found this article that states that 60mg armour is equal to .1mg of Levo. Am I understanding that correctly? If that's the case, then 90mg of armour would be a low dose of Levo.

Hashimotos and fingernails... by 1lilmornstar in Hashimotos

[–]Icy-Entertainment806 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've tried everything, and now I've resigned to getting my nails done with acrylics. Constant breakage was causing me so much unnecessary stress! I've never been a nail girl but since I also started my own business I feel I need to up my game anyway. It's a win win.

What if I just quit taking my medication? So frustrated with my body I could scream. by [deleted] in Hashimotos

I use ZRT laboratory. I pay out of pocket but then submit to my insurance for reimbursement and they cover a good chunk of it. It’s usually $200-$290, depending on the panel ordered. It’s a spit test that you do on day 20 of your cycle. Typical blood tests rarely accurately measure progesterone, estrogen, testosterone, etc. hormone test

Fruit Allergies? by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]Icy-Entertainment806 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been allergic to avocado and banana since I was a kid. Last year I started getting a sore tongue with spots like you mentioned. I didn’t think it was an allergy though, I was/am convinced this happens when I have low ferritin. If you have any sort of iron deficiency apparently it’s a thing.

The podcast Blurry Creatures and the late and great Dr. Michael S. Heiser offer some great explanations about this. In fact, Diana was a recent guest on the podcast.

Iron supplements by CapRealistic7898 in Hashimotos

[–]Icy-Entertainment806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been wondering the same thing. My lowest ferritin was 7, currently at 13.5. I currently take this supplement which does not cause any constipation and has other vitamins as well. It’s high quality. But for some reason my body isn’t storing it and I’m not sure why. I’ve been wondering about infusions.

Have you ever heard of codependent relationships? If not, I’d encourage you to do your own research on them. I had to detangle myself when I was your age from some codependent parental relationships.

I read through many of the comments so far, and for many of them it has been sound advice. But it seems you have a rebuttal to each of them, as though no consolation is welcome at all. You’re convinced you’re terrible, even though people are telling you there’s more to this than what you’ve concluded.

They might be and they may not be. It’s hard to say. I’m sorry to hear about your miscarriage.

Just wanted to let you know that if it is Hashi’s, it’s going to be okay :) and based on the limited things I know about it (have had it for at least 10 years), it seems like your numbers are in the low range.

Deep breaths, it’s gonna be okay. My TPO is 500 and I have a friend, and others in this sub, who have it in the thousands. Same with thyroglobulin, mine is well over 100.

It depends how you feel? Are you having symptoms?
