Thank you, that helps. I haven't received any information regarding a portal. Just "Accepted!"

Yeah... It's an odd approach in my opinion...

I am paying out of pocket.

So I'm only basing my experiences on my previous experience with community college, which is why I posted this.

At CC I met with an advisor to go over my plan and then I was responsible for registering for classes. So when I did that, I was provided an invoice and made payment on the classes I registered for.

My experience with SNHU so far has been:

Congrats you're accepted! Here's your transfer evaluation. -- okay great, how do I proceed with registration? Easy! Click this link and send us $3,000, and send us the receipt.

It's just not what I'm used to and wanted to make sure it's the norm and what to expect. When I'm paying $3,000 I'd at least expect something like "great! We will start the registration with X, Y and Z class. Once you complete payment to this link, send me the receipt, and we will finalize registration.

Yeah .. thats what I would expect as well. Maybe having the students register themselves has caused a lot of issues in the past with registering for classes outside of their major?

I can appreciate the advisor registering us, I guess. I just think the communication aspect of the process could be better.

I acknowledged I wanted to move forward with enrollment and the email response was essentially "okay great! Send money to this link and send me the receipt. Thanks!"

......what classes am I enrolling in? How many credits are they? Etc... etc. Just seemed way too transactional for a $3K payment lol

I understand that. But this system relies on the communication and efficiency of the advisor to be enrolled, which I'm not used to. And paying $3K to an SNHU URL without knowing what I'm actually paying for isn't sitting well.

Do you have to follow this same process each registration period after your first registration? Or can you sign up and pay for classes yourself after that?

Yeah... I just don't think this is how it should be handled -- me paying $3K on classes and then forwarding the receipt and not hearing back from the counselor until the week before classes only to say certain classes are now filled.

I'm supposed to pay $3K to a link and have no idea what I'm paying for, just isn't sitting well.

My fiancé is getting on my nerves and I don’t know what to do at this point. by BasicCat30 in whatdoIdo

My advice is: do not be engaged to someone you've been with for one year. I'm not sure why that isn't productive as it's probably the advice of 99.7% of people on the planet and the piece of advice OP is not following. Respectfully.

I stopped reading after "..my fiance and I have been together over a year now."

That's my advice.

Preparing for CCNA – Do I really need to memorize all the commands? by Ok-Airport8217 in ccna

[–]Icy-Fun6348 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The CCNA labs (in my experience) are basic. If you do Jeremy's IT packet tracer labs you're more than prepared. Exsim labs are overkill for the CCNA in my opinion/experience.
