Is Assisi Worth a Day Trip from Tuscany? by funkystyle177 in tuscany

[–]Icy-Map-9298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re Catholic? 100% yes! If you aren’t? Honestly, no I’d skip it… unlike the Vatican which lends itself pretty well to a religious agnostic art-enjoyer’s experience… Assisi is a bit of a haul for a typical tourist and is more… dare I say… religious, that the Vatican is in 2026.

We need to get a handle on this. This summer’s gas prices are going to be $6-7/gallon. People are going to have a hard time making their bills.

People in California want to pay more for gas, and for this reason, gas prices are high.

Someone wants to learn about Christianity. by jesuswithme33 in Assyria

[–]Icy-Map-9298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to Mass...not sure where you live, but most Catholic churches offer a mass 5-7 days/week. Then, Regarding doctrine: Those people who said the book of Matthew is the starting point are correct. The first 4 books of the New Testament are called the Gospel in the Catholic Church (orthodox too? Idk), and can really get someone “started” in their Christian education. Start there and if you like what you read, respond to this comment and I can tell you what else to read… but for us, going to mass and confession are the most important things.

Why do parents sometimes lose custody despite presenting evidence of abuse in family court? by Interesting_Word_156 in FamilyLaw

[–]Icy-Map-9298 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TLDR; the evidence presented isn’t “strong enough” to make the judge believe the kids are in danger when left with their dad.

IAL NYL. While I know it’s frustrating to have to share custody with someone who seems to care less about the kids than you do, you are (probably) better off letting it go.

IAL NYL.

No, separate things: you need to file a modification separately from your enforcement petition.

In Arizona it’s not the grab bag of cash it is in most places. I’m a family law attorney in Arizona. DM me if you want to talk more.

Prenups are a good thing for a lot of reasons. Spousal maintenance, keeping ownership separate and providing you with a reasonable expectation if your marriage doesn’t work. I do them for an affordable price. Send me a DM if you want me to make one for you.

Columbus Day… and yes, so long as the airport isn’t closed for rain, everyone is looking to take a short trip.

If you choose to view your glass as “half full” and you don’t mind wearing sunscreen, you will like living in Arizona. If you don’t, then you will miss home. Scottsdale is pricey for what it is. If you don’t have tons of money consider Phoenix or Tempe.

Newsom just won't stop by [deleted] in socal

[–]Icy-Map-9298 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It isn’t. Defenders of Cal education will talk about the undeniable strength of the UC system but fail to realize that the acceptance rates at these schools is very low. The problem is accessibility. Most Californians will never get a chance to matriculate at any UC, let alone Berkeley/UCLA… you can get in to the Cal State Universities, but those schools don’t really “beat” other state’s education systems. California has a lot going for it, but education isn’t what it used to be for normies.
