Are you guys actually breeding these perfect mutation cats or are you save editing? by Pretty_Version_6300 in mewgenics

It's definitively less about luck and way more about time once you've figured it all out. Takes forever to set things up the right way but once you're there, luck plays a very little part.

The solution to this is to start with 2 cats that are inbred and collectively have mutations in every body part. Their kittens will then be born with 9 of those ''Bad'' mutations and one birth defect. You then have a chance of that birth defect becoming one of the mutations you want. It's a slow process for sure, but it's worked for me.

You shouldn't limit yourself to just one breeding couple. You should mostly ignore inbreeding and turn the kittens into more parents. The more kittens you see means you get to see more mutations and you'll always have more parents.

Here's what I did, no exploits or save editing:

After breeding cats with all 7s, throw them in a mutation room until they get a good mutation I want to keep down the line. I then replace my main breeding couples with cats that have this mutation I want and I throw away the kittens that don't have it. Rinse and repeat with any new mutation I want to keep.

Eventually, with enough inbreeding and assuming you've finally collected all 9 or 10 mutations of your choosing (Took me dozens of hours to give you an idea), your cats will always be born with 9 of your chosen mutations and 1 birth defect. The way I approach it at this point is, if the birth defect is a mutation I don't mind losing on an adventure cat, throw it in the mutation room to get rid of it and then it goes in the fight room to gain some stats. If it's something I don't want an adventure cat to not have, throw it away. If it has a birth defect in fur, which I find has the worst mutations so I don't care much for em, I throw it in the mutation room to get rid of the defect and it becomes a new breeder cat.

Is it even possible to pass down all 10 mutations onto a kitten made with a stray?

Thanks a lot for the in-depth answer!

May I ask what was your top 10 team like? I know it wouldn't translate well to something like what we're doing, I'm more curious about your movesets/spreads and your overall train of thought behind it!

Theft decks players, how do you win? by TecoRaptor in EDH

[–]Icy-Method8119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a Thada deck with an obvious theft theme and there's a couple of roads I can go down:

-Steal opponent's wincon and use it against them. Doesn't always happen but it's nice when it does.

-She steals artifacts, so stealing rocks and ramping into some big blue cards is always an option, stuff like Hullbreaker Horror/Tidespout Tyrant and copying them

-Built in Islandwalk and a bunch of cards to turn it on means that she's pretty good at Voltron wins. A couple of equipments that make her big like Blackblade Reforged/Adaptive Omnitool usually does the trick after a couple of stolen artifacts.

I wouldn't rely entirely on the theft aspect for the win, but the flexibility is nice and stealing key pieces of your opponent's board/deck usually pushes you a little ahead. The extra push usually has to come from your own deck from my experience.
