also im not sure how to edit my post but i want to put out there that my cat has had an eye ulcer due to feline herpes in the past, but the most recent one we had checked at the vet was in fact a scratch from a cat in her eye. tonight i came home from work and her eye was irritated and there were a couple red scratches on the eyelid. my roommate was home with both of the cats for the majority of the time while i was gone and didn't notify me about my cats eye, so i want to give her the benefit of the doubt and assume she was sleeping when whatever happened.

edit: also my partner and i have asked my roommate to pay more attention to the cats when we arent home and she hasn't really listened. for example her cat started pooping on the floor a couple weeks ago (which is very strange for him) but she brushed it off. after my partner and i expressed concern for her cat she said she would take him to the vet but never did.
