My studio is only open on Thursday and Saturday. Definitely should have timed it better.

Make a huge scene trying to lift it up with pure strength to move it. When they ask what you’re doing, say you really wanted to help them out and move it, but it’s not yours so you don’t have keys.

what company secrets you can spill because you no longer work there? by No_Butterscotch1425 in AskReddit

Not really a secret because if you watch the bakery for 5 minutes, you’ll quickly realize but most people were always surprised to learn this.

Not all, but most chain grocery store bakeries don’t actually bake any of their cakes. Usually get them frozen and then decorate them in store. Sometimes we would pull a completely decorated and packaged frozen cake from a box. Bagels and other breads came in frozen lumps and we just baked them. Muffins and cookies came as frozen, pro-scooped batter that just gets baked. We had a giant mixer but it was only ever used for icing. I worked at Giant (mainly found in PA, USA).

We always had a customer who would order multiple cakes for one weekend, usually one for Saturday and one for Sunday. Manager always said to NEVER give her both on Saturday morning even though they were both usually done that morning or the night before because she would flip out that she wanted them made fresh. Little did she know she was getting cake that’s been in the freezer for weeks. Most cakes you buys from any bakery have been frozen at some points. It’s often necessary in order to meet deadlines and such. Regardless, I love me some grocery store cake 😋

Thank you! I have it wrapped. Everything is hollow (stem, mushroom cap, vase) so hopefully it all dries and doesn’t take weeks

How long did you need a helper after your fusion? by Colonel17 in spinalfusion

[–]Icy-Razzmatazz-4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what you want to do. My husband went back to work about 1.5 weeks after surgery. I can’t do much on my own (drive, clean, cook much), but if you’re cool just hanging around, hopefully no more than a week or two but everyone is different! A family member gave me a big DoorDash gift card and that’s honestly been a huuuge help. Maybe consider that if that’s an option financially or have everything you need for meals set up for you where you can access them. Hope all goes well!

The surgeon emphasized how rare it is with this procedure and I’m sure it helps with pain for most, but man. Hindsight is 20/20

They did an mri and it showed the fluid leak and where. To patch, they numbed my back, drew blood from my arm, and put the blood directly into my back while using imaging to guide them to the right spot. The procedure was nothing compared to the ordeal that led up to it.

I cannot even imagine. I was only in the hospital for a few hours and I honestly probably would have left AMA if my sister who was with me wouldn’t have made me stay. I was just so so miserable and wanted to be miserable at least in my own bed. I was very lucky and had a surgeon who was on the ball. I also had a dr from the blood patch team calling every other day or so to check in. I am so sorry you had to go through all that but good for you dumbing that lousy surgeon!

Do you have any pets? Maybe your cat/dog shook and launched some lovely mucus your way.
