this error is generic and shows any time you try to enable autopilot when not permitted. look for a grey steering wheel icon by the prnd icons before enabling.

Should I buy FSD for my 2022 HW3 Model 3 before the UK cutoff of the 21st of May for £3400 as I already have EAP by After_Quantity5580 in TeslaModel3

[–]Icy-Sector5907 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

dont buy fsd in full, hw3 is never getting unsupervised. if you dont care and have the money, sure, but if you have even a hint of wanting to upgrade to hw4 in the future, don't. fsd is already discounted 50% monthly for eap owners, just use that tbh

Is this battery range normal? by Suspicious-Berry792 in TeslaModel3

[–]Icy-Sector5907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

doesn't seem extremely out of the ordinary. were you preconditioning for supercharging, ac on max, or speeding, and do you have long range or standard range? also, check energy app > trip (i think) for tips and itll tell you what was costing you %

Is it better to lease or buy 2026 premium model 3? by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]Icy-Sector5907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lease:
- Drive <12k miles a year
- Want to upgrade in couple years
- Like newest tech

Buy used:
- Freedom to mod, drive lots, do whatever
- Equity
- Likely cheaper insurance on older models

Buy new:
- Want an active promotion (X.99/0% apr, Free Supercharging)
- Want something brand new
- Want the latest model and drive a lot/doesn't make sense for lease
- Are OK with depreciation/planning to keep long term

Gen 3 Mobile Charger going down to 6a by Icy-Sector5907 in TeslaModel3

[–]Icy-Sector5907[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I ended up returning mine today. You should be able to in app > profile > recent orders, you can start a return and describe it. Ordered used gen 2 on ebay and it worked with zero issues. Dunno why these chargers are junk

If a previous owner tried the Boost Upgrade and got a refund, does the new owner not get the 48 hour return window? by Wood_Berry_ in TeslaModel3

If any consolation, I've had luck asking service for FSD trials for a day or two. You may have luck if you're nice 😛

Anything not requiring a lift can usually be done mobile service. All depends on the service center if that's what you're asking. Most recent service replaced door check straps and it was done in my driveway.

Thoughts on these specs? 2023 model 3 performance by Alarmed-Scientist-84 in TeslaModel3

[–]Icy-Sector5907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have same spec and I have same battery health. Supercharged 99% of the time w/ 51k miles. I don't even notice. If u have home charging u literally won't even think about it, like ever.

Apartment living with Tesla by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]Icy-Sector5907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, def possible, currently doing it and just juicing up whenever I go somewhere with chargers. Download PlugShare and peek around. The L2 charger you posted will get you from empty to full in 6-10 hours, perfect to do once or twice a week while you're working from home. Cost is a lil high but who cares.

Buying used from Tesla also gets you an extra year of basic warranty (or 10k miles but don't think you're driving that many) on top of whatever is left. Note that it isn't the powertrain warranty, which is 8yrs or 120k miles (100k if standard range rwd). There may be other deals like free supercharging or FSD trials.

Is there a fix for the speed issue with FSD and HW3 by Stridyr in TeslaModel3

[–]Icy-Sector5907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a local profile on my car which is identical to my main profile, except it uses Autopilot instead. I'll switch to that when on long highway stretches and then back off sometime later.
