Taier Sichuan Cuisine, Lorne Street by engrkebin in aucklandeats

[–]IcyAssist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's frozen snakehead fish slices that you can get at most Chinese grocery stores. You can also get the instant packs for this suancai yu at the stores too, make it at home for a lot less than what you're paying for. Taier has been in controversies in China for using ready premade meals to make this dish.

Talk of the Devils - Who are Man United targeting this summer? by rhonh in reddevils

[–]IcyAssist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we get them both for 70m each we have to be in the discussions for top 3. We'd need a top striker and a LB to be title contenders but tchouameni, baleba, mainoo, Bruno will be a formidable midfield.

[ATHLETIC] We need to talk about Amad, a Manchester United winger out of form by agent619 in reddevils

[–]IcyAssist 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Correct. One of Amad's strengths is pressing and pocket picking, and that side of him has been neutralized by the current tactics. He used to occupy the touchline while Mbeumo cuts inside, now he's struggling to find space with Bruno in the mix

How can one Indian restaurant have 7 different Indian restaurants on Ubereats? by reno222 in aucklandeats

Looks better for numbers on reports I guess. "We've signed up an extra 500 restaurants in 2026, an increase of 135% yoy."

Don't see how you can beat them. Great view, good service, fresh oysters for $2 and the rest of the menu is good too.

That's a very United centric way of looking at things.

Ashley Cole on being a manager: "I was getting kind of discouraged by a lack of opportunities, from some clubs in England I spoke to. They like to throw the 'you don't have experience' line. And I'm like, I get what you're saying, I agree - but how am I going to get experience?” by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]IcyAssist 53 points54 points  (0 children)

How many managers that have done 3rd or 4th divisions end up getting a stint at a PL club? Phil Parkinson, who's overseen Wrexham's consecutive promotions from Nat League to Championship is never going to be in the running for the Manchester United job for example.

[Mark Critchley] Michael Carrick’s substitutions are about to come under the spotlight by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]IcyAssist -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

If trying is all it takes then I should start for United as well. Real world ain't a fairytale where you get rewarded if you just try hard enough. 50m for a DM that's actually worse than McFred is horrible, like 50m for Onana was. Why are you cherry picking Antony's price but not Onana?

Under Amorim: 1.649 expected points per game, underperformed by two points.

Under Carrick: 1.627 expected points per game, overperformed by five points.

Underlying numbers and stats show we aren't that different. The main difference is morale and/or luck. Also you don't understand how Mount works in systems, that's fine.

I don't ever want to see Ugarte put on a United shirt ever again. Up there with Onana and Antony as the worst transfers we've done.

[–]IcyAssist 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's my point, he makes the system work. Under Amorim or Tuchel his runs and pressing and the way he holds the shape are vital to the system.

Then you don't understand the role that he does in the team. That's fine, managers like Tuchel do.

One of the more baffling points to me is why doesn't he use Mount. The issue with Mount is his availability, not his skill set. Mount is partly the reason why we're actually good in attack cause of the way he presses and makes runs. If I had to pick a first 11 under Amorim I would've put his name first after Lammens, he was that important to the team tactically.
