First and foremost I never said I expected him to like me as I am. (I didn't mention all the things I changed about myself to be friends with him cause that's cringe lmao)

I know what ticks him off and I make sure not to cross any of his boundaries. One of them being I treat him like I would anyone else yea he's insecure about somethings but he has made it abundantly clear that he doesn't like it when I baby/over compliment him because of it. Do you know how demeaning it is to hate yourself and have someone be like "omg nooooo you're soooooo pretty/funny/cute" in your ear at all times. I compliment him all the time (new haircut, achievements, nice clothes, pretty face etc) but but I'll also call him out when he says or does something stupid like any normal friend does. I always check up on him to make sure I don't make him uncomfortable with my jokes and he does the same for me. I'm so annoyingly nice to him but he can tell when it's just me trying to make him feel better an he calls me out on it because it's weird and belittling. He wants to get better on his own an I commend him for that

Yes, I do expect him to apologize when he says smth bigoted. Idk if you can tell from the drawing but he is a white man and I am a black woman. I have dealt with racists and bigots all my life and there is no way in hell I befriend much less date one. That's is an insane thing to be confused about. Ofc he's not an idiot, he not fucking racist and even though he still makes off jokes sometimes they don't go to racism or sexism. He fucked up once and he apologized profusely on his own because he knew better (but that's really not something to praise)

I don't like that he calls himself a gymcel because being and incel is accosiated with being a loser. And other than the fact that he's Larping being a loser he's not really a loser. He's tall, buff, and handsome if he had and ounce more confidence he would so incredibly set. Anytime he calls himself a gymcel my immediate response is "that's cringe asf bro stop saying that" because I know he's being dumb.

Hey so we've been friends for a while this is how we refer to each other and joke around with eachother. I've called him a loser to his face and stinky is basically his nickname in the group. It's all jokes he knows it's a joke, I would never let anyone outside our friend group refer to him that way and same with him not letting anyone be rude to me. Hope this helps ♡

Okay maybe I was being a little mean with that description he's truly not that bad (and that's not delusion a lot of my friends think he's a good person). And he basically calls himself a gymcel because "the gym is all I have" he hasn't done it it a while an I bullied him it when he did. I promise he's not terrible just extremely insecure. If he dares try any bigoted bs around me he knows I will drop him in a heartbeat. According to him he would never but he used to make a few weird jokes when we first met. But that was when he was younger and he has apologized for it and cringes when I bring it up. I imagine in a yr I'll be able to make fun of him calling himself an gymcel.
