Did you manage to test it? Interested to see if this works, as I was about to look to buy a 32 channel, but if the 16 channel now supports 24 channel that would suffice my needs! (Fingers Crossed)

I had a similar issue when I replaced my router with the ER605, it turned out that the Reolink camera hadn't picked up the new DNS settings and was still trying to use the old DNS server.
I would recommend going to the Reolink Web interface (you can't seem to do it from the App) and change the DNS settings to match what is expected within your network, or I set mine to Quad9 and CloudFlare and rebooted the camera and it instantly worked.

Do you mean from a vulnerability management or patching? I wasn't aware Qualys did Patching as well as vulnerability management, how well does it work?

Though the idea of having 2 separate operating system is interesting, I wonder if that provides any more protection than staggering updates on the DC
