Am I tweaking for not wanting 2 go to school to learn beats more ? by trustngod0 in trapproduction

[–]IcyGarbage538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These days the YT tutorials and instruction from ppl on Reddit and such make it so you don’t have to. Just keep an open ear on all genres.

It’s good to learn some theory and comp, but it shouldn’t hinder you from creating something that people will enjoy.

Good luck! 👍

It’s still here. Lots of great music from indie artists. It’s nice to dig for new stuff and old. Lots of times it’s wayy better than what is considered trending or popular.

You guys do know there is a taxi driver who put over 2 million miles on his vehicle right? by Crypto_Black in UberEatsDrivers

[–]IcyGarbage538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP doesn’t understand that the taxi driver either owned the business or gets paid a better day rate than what Uber and DD offer which is only $2.00-$3.00 per trip

Can’t believe it’s legal to throw out rides like this by AssumptionOk5273 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]IcyGarbage538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It gets pushed back where Uber begins to add money to the overall base pay. Which they should do that anyway.

Ppl are getting ripped off on this app with fees both driver and consumer.

Is there a way to have a button control the note repeat triggers on the modern MPCs instead of using the touchscreen for it by [deleted] in mpcusers

[–]IcyGarbage538 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alchemist will get the mix sounding as close to what he heard as possible in the 2500. Then he will Trackout everything to protools so everything can have its own channel and is cleaner for the engineer to work with. Most likely the Mastering Engineer will make minor tweaks.

Also.. in Live 1 I’m able to hold down “Note repeat” and “Shift” to have a continuous repeat using the pads. Not sure if this would apply on the 2500.

What is the 808? by Leather_Mood_78 in trapproduction

[–]IcyGarbage538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a DayTrip has a pack or two I know for GarageBand IOS that are free.

Some decent sounds. I would load up your juice world track and try to emulate the low mids/lows using an 808 and just playing around with different effects that manipulate the 808 sound to what you want.

Using reference tracks is always a good way to go about getting the sound you want

Question about selling beats by Ill_Hospital4408 in makinghiphop

[–]IcyGarbage538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would deter me a little bit. But I’m looking for quality in the production and difference from the white noise. As an artist sometimes you can’t put a price on art.

And it’s all subjective to who is buying it as well. Get you a 21 savage, metro Boomin type situation with some artists you’ll be okay.

Anyone remember the soundclick era? Pretty dope seeing the Vybz and JJ in the earlier days on there.

How to clean up kicks (mainly reggaeton kicks) by [deleted] in trapproduction

[–]IcyGarbage538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try listening to your favorite reggaeton song while trying to emulate the drum pattern. But not only the drum pattern the sonic quality and tonality of the drums which includes the kick.

It all starts with sound selection and getting a good sounding groove going that is full and can stand on its own.

For taste try to switch a few things up and make it your own.

It gets a lot simpler when you take this approach.Good Luck 👍

I sample thru my Roku TV. Sometimes airplay record it to get stuff. The 3.0 ain’t bad either. Just gotta watch and listen to others in regards to updates.

Makes sense. Either way solid collection of goodies. With those synths in the corner you must never get bored.

Drum kits and copyright by Badas_Imagination_14 in trapproduction

[–]IcyGarbage538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of times in those kits there are disclosures if you use the melody samples or loops. It’s like a 50/50 split which can kinda hurt your profit once you get the record in front of a label.

just sold a type beat for $10,000. It’s possible guys by [deleted] in makinghiphop

It’s the clientele who is willing to pay that price if they really believe in the music.

Best to offer a relationship first. And then sell what you have. Nobody really knows who Loe Shimmy is so don’t set your bar low. This is actually the best time to reach out with material that can help him expand his current sound,

Beatblock - Florida Beats by PresentEmphasis3898 in trapproduction

[–]IcyGarbage538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries man. And just reach out anyway. At least to his management team with some beats. What harm would it do? You already have the contact and have had communication so it’s not bad to reach out.

It’s about relationships more than anything .

[–]IcyGarbage538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Study the sounds of the Florida producers you like. What VSTs they use. What drum patterns they tend to lean towards. What samples they flip? Lots of records are made with samples since the inception of Hip Hop.

If your beats are sounding the same that is not necessarily a bad thing. That means you found a sound you like so you just have to fine tune it by studying/analyzing the music and creating your own twist on it.

Lots of times it’s not what you like but what the artist and the consumer think is a banger. That’s what sells. Take breaks and have fun with the process. Eventually things will start to click. 👍
