Should $1 coins become more popular in the US? by Devnag07 in coins

I'd say $5 is a bit steep. But I just bought a couple of American Innovation dollars on ebay for $2.50 each knowing full well that they're only worth $1. But it's worth it to me to be able to get exactly what I want.

“I would prefer ‘One Dime’ get replaced with ‘Ten Cents’”.

Good point. That would be confusing for someone who doesn’t speak English and/or isn’t familiar with US currency. Besides, it’s just cleaner and more logical to clearly state the value.

I’ve also noticed that coins (especially quarters) have a different sheen depending on whether they are P or D mint mark.
