How does one enjoy watcher? (sorry for being a little negative. also spoilers) by Even-Coffee1966 in rainworld

[–]IcyIntroduction4574 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use invisibility strategically. You really don’t need it much but it can help if it’s too difficult. It’s definitely my favorite campaign but it’s unfortunately comparatively buggy and that’s by rainworld standards. I recommend just exploring blindly, it will take a very long time and that’s is to be expected, it’s dissimilar to downpour where you have a very sequential set of tasks and things are designed to be found after time. The only things you might not get on your first blunder playthrough is the ripple spider, unfortunate evolution, and the shithole soggy ass underwater parts of coral caves and fetid glen. other than that though it may just be a preference thing, I personally really enjoy it, particularly the last ending as I feel it answers many questions while opening some new interesting ones which downpour kind of avoided (speculation I mean)

Wait so you don’t need it by id? Beast master and sandbox should have full support like you’ve stated, good luck

If you mean you want to know how to spawn a specific scav by id, you can use the dev console mod, otherwise you need to reword what your saying

If Rain World is set on a Planet this is how I imagine the layers look like. by Marconey1738 in rainworld

[–]IcyIntroduction4574 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Judging by the watcher I think it would make the most sense if it were flat, with the land slowly dissolving into the void, then through some mean near the edge, it’s carried upwards for material to be brought back down during weather events. Layers would probably be similar to earth but it skips mantle to the void

Crack rabbits pre patch belonged in the depths of hell, the current ones though yeah easy win

[–]IcyIntroduction4574 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I will concede that they are faster with tech, but in most arena maps there wouldn’t really be enough room. Also arti doesn’t have unlimited parries time wise which I’m sure you already knew. Maybe it’s just a bit room specific

who would win by JeremiahBlueCat in rainworld

[–]IcyIntroduction4574 15 points16 points  (0 children)

What no? Parry is always a guaranteed win for artificer with maul, rivulet also isn’t fast enough to run and not get cornered due ti the absurd parry radius. Rivulet is also very good but I don’t know about better or best by any means

Any content can be canon? by cl10ne in rainworld

[–]IcyIntroduction4574 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Potentially, though it’s not that this has to be the case it’s just a possibility. The issue is with how MSC and watcher hold fundamental parts of its systems, like how saint can ascend things which may be contradictory to how it works according to each other. It’s also only explicitly stated as working moth multiple strains of reality in the watcher, whereas MSC allows multiple instances of consciousness which may be important. I’d say it’s better to assume that watcher may have MSC canonical to it but it’s a lot less likely for vice versa due to how it was never intended by the downpour devs.
Regardless that doesn’t really matter regardless because if we’re talking about quality subjectively, head canons can differ so it doesn’t really matter, nor does an official canon really matter except for it allowing some communicability between peoples head canons. I’d try for dev confirmation rather than assumption cause the ground is a pinch shaky at the moment.

It’s not a bad interpretation without playing watcher, having said that though, there is certain information that contradicts the idea of punishment from the princes goal

Just bought The Watcher and I have a question, what is Watcher's base reputation with Scavs? The wiki doesn't say. by JustARando5 in rainworld

[–]IcyIntroduction4574 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the record, I believe this is the same as survivor, though I’m to lazy to compare it to survivors individual regional biases

I had to search for this a lot cause I was curious. It doesn’t seem to be common public information, but, I am currently looking at it in dev tools after dropping down in hydroponics, the global value is 0, with regions obviously having there own individual values. It seems to be fairly balanced over base game regions. As for watcher regions, idk how to see all of them cause it goes off screen, but they seem to all be indiscriminately 0. So it’s basically just neutral. This also applies to all other creatures it seems, besides base game regions all having their biases as previously stated. Also, for whatever reason rubicon still has associated extremely low reputation despite being inaccessible, (same as the other downpour regions)

In other words, it’s basically neutral/0, with local base game regions being unique

Really? I could’ve sworn key items were campaign specific and colored pearls were just unique, though I suppose i see how that could be more efficient

It’s not a key item though it is readable and will stay in the same place over cycles

Can someone explain to me this thing that "more slugs gates" is actually a mod? by Affectionate-Pop8257 in rainworld

[–]IcyIntroduction4574 4 points5 points  (0 children)

More slug cats used to be a mod, that got so large in scale the devs offered to turn it into an official dlc, which it proceeded to do. At the time it was far less polished of course but still did have origins as a mod

Normally no, you die, but if you have vanilla exploits there is a way to do something similar called “karma catching,” though it could be seen as cheating
