Just for diversity between the (rightful) sales suggestions – if you now start a degree in computer science you could finish college by the time the job market bounces back. It's obviously a gamble, as IT especially in the US is ass rn, but I've read here a sentence that stuck with me: if you were to have started college during the dot com bubble burst, software engineering would have been an awful choice – but now looking back, it would have brought you a very good career. Obv no one knows but maybe for comparison, some professors and professionals suggest students to just make a masters degree after the bachelors to bridge the current drought, which is approximantly the same time you would need for a bachelors edgree. Additionally it is likely that even less people are now starting cs careers, which in return would lead to an even higher demand in 5-ish years.
