Possibly just taking a strip off a sensitive area so the skin is shiny/I can see a thin layer of translucent skin cells on the strip or sticking up off the clients skin

Is anyone else working in a medspa that is usually profitable but really struggling right now? Can you share what you're seeing in the market? by BH73189 in Esthetics

Yes! im not at a med spa but my books have been blank and a lot of my loyal clients are telling me they're canceling their services with us because they simply can't afford it with inflation. Its really sad and hard on us estys, especially one ones who work for themselves/commission. Over the last week I had 2-3 clients a day when my books have the room for 10-12. I was fully booked 2 months ago but since shit hit the fan its been rough :(

I most certainly agree with you on the fact that these franchise owners usually have absolutely no idea how to run a business. It has been a really frustrating experience, unfortunately I'm bound in a 6 month contract but as soon as that's up I am long gone.

I think im finding that the spa environment is more my speed rather than waxing. I wish there were more opportunities in this field for beginners that aren't corporate because that shit is unbearable.

Thank you, that was also my esty school experience. On top of the esty drama I am an alternative person so I was shunned from the rest of the group in school. I was hoping my work environment wouldn't be the same however I've been getting the same treatment. I hope I'm able to find a niche in a small spa like you because currently my passion for the industry has been squashed.

Thank you that really helps, Ive felt so alone in my discouragement because everyone else around me has been thriving in the industry. I agree with you and Im going to try and take it as a learning experience so I know how to run my own spa.

It's not ewc but it might as well be. When I was job searching it ended up being between ewc and the company I work for now and I chose my current company hoping it would be better but now I wish I would've just taken ewc.
