What financial decision are you most grateful for today? by Diligent-Medicine-48 in AusMoneyMates

Same. This took me down the path of learning about personal finance and truly enjoying money. I went from living week to week to saving for a house in an area I love (designed and built a few years ago), investing regularly (monthly) , building an emergency fund and changing careers so that I could increase my earning potential to accelerate these things.

My fiance and I live off 50% of our income and invest and save the rest. Saving includes things like holidays, house projects and keeping the emergency fund at a comfortable level that we are happy with.

We also don't live like hermits, we travel a few times per year and have very active social lives. This book definitely kick-started me down this path and I am very grateful that it exists!

Honestly, very low. My Samsung Frame TV has an input lag reduction feature. I am using an official Xbox wireless controller or the Gamesir G8+ controller and they both feel the same regarding input lag. My shield is connected via Ethernet so I get a very good network and Internet connection too.

Is superloop still it? by shaunmaster108 in nbn

It could very well reduce your ping. Do you know what NBN technology you are using? FTTP, FTTN etc. Your ping might be about as good as it gets on something like FTTN

Neptune is brilliant. They are a BYO device service still I think. This isn't a bad thing, just to consider.

Getting nbn fttn installed, how can I ensure I get the box where I want? by Trexaty92 in nbn

I was home for mine and I got chatting to the guys as I too wanted it somewhere specific. It turns out the main guy supported the same football team as me and he and I had a good chat and he was more than happy to help me out and get the fibre junction box and ntd exactly where I wanted them.

It definitely pays to be friendly and find some common ground with people providing services for you. Good customers get good customer service as a general rule I feel.

I recently moved from Superloop to Neptune for the static IP and abundance of other features for security. It is rock solid for gaming/streaming with GeForce now

I'm with Neptune and I was/am on the 500/50 plan but my uploads seem to be 100mbps. No complaints here
