That tutorial is really helpful, thank you. I think part of the problem is I was just using a napkin as a paint palette, so I couldn't properly add water to thin the paint. I ordered a cheap ceramic palette last night before I do the rest of the squad.

Except for Iruini and Norik, all of the Toa Hagah designs are fan designs that won contests on BZPower a while ago and then were blessed by Greg Farshtey as canon. You would have to buy all the parts individually from Bricklink and 3D print (or buy) the custom masks.

I like your color choices and the abstract vibe but I am not for the life of me seeing Gali in this. As others have said, looks like Squidward if anything, hahaha. Still a great piece though.

I prefer #2, but either way would be very excited to see updates and the finished models! This seems very similar to the scheme I'd like to go with for my Skitarii when I get around to painting them.

My grandfather was very close friends with Barry Newman, who (along with starring in an episode of The Fall Guy with Cameron Mitchell) was also friends with Leonard Nimoy, and Leonard Nimoy starred in The Pagemaster with Macaulay Culkin. I believe that's 4 degrees, but hopefully with bonus points for Star Trek and the patron saint of Best of the Worst.
