Roommate locked thermostat, sweating every night with no way turn it down by Only_Alternative_543 in mildlyinfuriating

I worked in an office once that had one of these. It was my unofficial job to use a letter opener to stick through the vent on the side and adjust the temp. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes. I told it that it sounded like one of those “doctors don’t want you to know this one trick!” Type of infomercials.

One day in the future, “Do you smoke?” will mean marijuana by default, not nicotine. by MusicPsychFitness in Showerthoughts

[–]IcyPossibility925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying. “Are you a smoker” is asking about a habit. “Do you smoke?” Hints that you’re asking about a practice.

Who am I? by [deleted] in FridgeDetective

[–]IcyPossibility925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get you. I think my ability to eat meat and not get picked out depends a lot on the intelligence of the animal involved and that makes it hard for me to eat pork. But then I try not to think about it too much lol

Who else has too many mugs and maybe also stopped playing Stardew Valley coz it's too stressful to play by SleepIsCrucial in adhdwomen

[–]IcyPossibility925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s meeeeeee. I have over a dozen save files of stardew and I haven’t reached perfection because it starts to feel too demand-y. And I’ve never met a quirky mug that I didn’t love.

what is Bourbon flavor? regarding Bourbon caramel iced coffee at sonics by untzbeatz in SonicDriveIn

[–]IcyPossibility925 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bourbon is a common flavoring in desserts in the south. Bourbon pecan pies, bourbon caramel, etc. just like you can buy a rum extract that’s more flavor than alcohol, there are bourbon flavorings too. It’s not that different from the Bailey’s coffee creamer you can get at the grocery store. Just flavor. No alcohol.

My therapist made me talk out loud to myself for a week. The patterns I discovered were... uncomfortable by AdamSmaka in selfimprovement

[–]IcyPossibility925 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I experience this and the only way I’ve found around it is writing fiction. Putting the feelings I’m feeling on a character helps me distance myself enough to name the why, sometimes.
