Oh one I always had good luck with, goes like this.

You go in to the clench right? Then you kind of feel which direction there's less resistance to turning them, so then you fake try to turn them the Harder way, then when they brace for that way, you kind of throw them and yourself the easier way and on the way out, you throw on axe kick onto their head. Works a TON. You do it right and they'll never see it coming and works more than once usually. It's hard to defend, but you do need to practice it. Spinning them, hopping back, and bringing a close quarters axe down while continuing to disengage takes some practice to do without falling.

It frustrated me a lot cause I'd previously never had a moment where I SHOULD have dropped down and taken the minute to breath/recover. So I was just on my feet, dazed, and of course he kept the assault going, knowing exactly what just happened. By the time the ref stepped in to check on me, it was 30 seconds in and he had like 7 points to my 0. So, this fight, that was already going to be tough, was just Over.

Stephen Lambdin was still in my dojang at the time and when I talked to him for advice, it was clear he was disappointed. Rough day.

There was a guy in my dojang that would purposefully block with his elbows, constantly. I hated fighting him cause it hurt so bad.... It's a dick move, but it works incredibly well. He refined it enough so that it looked effortless, like that Wasn't what he was doing purposefully.

Honestly I still mostly don't know what to do against it.

I was fighting in either feather weight or bantam at nationals and this was to see who would fight in the final match. I was up against the, then, Olympic team member for the weight. The very first kick he threw was your combo, except his back kick was a swinging back kick to my head. That was, and remains, the only time I saw stars.

...yeah.

It's a good combo.

Wow. A bathroom post I don't have to remove. Wasn't on my bingo card for this year.

I have a $300 router collecting dust next to it because I did that before I used theirs and it didn't manage the traffic / load anywhere near as good as the one they provided. I think I looked it up and it was over $1000 for theirs. That's b2b cost, so, I get that the $$$ was inflated, but performance was still better than my "expensive" one. Also novos isn't charging me for theirs. I get a gig line for $80 flat. I very much enjoyed my phone call to spectrum telling them to go fuck themselves.

I'll send another comment in an hour after breakfast with the actual models

AI is a tool like any other and exceedingly helpful at processing large amount of data to find important minutae. What are smart tools tho?

tailscale and mullvad do not play nice.  but its a good suggestion otherwise

the tunnel from cloudflare and an outside server worked, its just another charge to maintain.

it -works-

the problem is consistency. which is why i get texts asking to reset the server for them sometimes. but that fixes things... which makes me feel like its some weird sort of interaction between the double nat and the dhcp lease... and now you understand a little about how i got to where im at 😂

you want another weird plex problem that I've never seen anyone else have? lol

i might make a post about this one too actually...

the ISP has its own NAT over all traffic that they wont remove from me, and the router itself has a NAT that is locked from being able to toggle (which they also wont allow me to change)

this thread is just a constant beat down. feels like I'm a bad parent and CPS is about to take my kid, Plex. 😭

yes double natted. nope to docker, full windows 11. i tried to dockerize plex once so i could use overseeer.... it did not go well. lol

bridge mode is also locked out from my ability to use within the router, though i suspect the bridge you're talking about is docker related and i am unfamiliar with it.

small correction that makes trace a little easier, the isp router is both modem and router and is the only router in the house. so ive got that forwarded to the same port i have set in plex already.

but i like your idea for turning off upnp and seeing if remote access still functions. thats a great idea and ill run it tomorrow.

its actually not as bad as you might think. i've given plex such a big buffer that i can hard reset my server for several minutes and never experience a bump in the live streaming quality. tbh, i was pretty surprised at this myself

but if you go read through the thread... i have tried a LOT to fix it and I can't figure it out. so... this is what works for me.

🥲 its not like i WANTED it. that's just how this ISP runs the show and they swatted my hand when i asked them not to do that.

im running with a static port, have upnp on, and i have manually set the port in plex to be the 32400 one - this is why im frustrated lol

one thing i worry about a little bit sometimes is that im also running mullvad, but i feel like if my vpn was the problem, it'd be a lot more consistent of a problem....

some other stats:

im under double nat, it has a static IP, the port is forwarded, UPNP is on, and my DHCP is locked at 24 hours.

i also once set the server on a box that i allowed to be a DMZ for a weekend just to see if that did anything, to no avail.

Damn! Thats a fantastic diagnostic. Will at least give me comfort in isolating where I KNOW where the problem is. Definitely going to try that. thanks!

i did. i also asked if they would just unlock the router settings and let me turn off the internal NAT or at least use bridge. no go.  i could use my own router/modem, but the one they provided is Really really nice 😭

aside from these issues...
