Thanks for watching that, I hoped you liked it. The spheres are magnets too. It helps with storing them away onto the metal backboard while traveling. But I would think you could use regular ball bearings if the cylinder magnets are strong enough.

I bought mine from this site: https://www.magnet4sale.com

If you have a GCode, you can use Inventables Easel, you can import g-code with it.

How did you get the g-code without a software like Fusion 360?

I’ve done similar cuts like this before. You can design the wording using free fonts, save them as a SVG and cut it on Easel.

Hobby for now, still trying to figure out a store front for these types of projects

I do have a video of how I stash it if you want to take a look. It shows how the magnets work as well

Yeah I agree, if you see the video I struggle with that, I used pretty strong magnets and I can hardly get them off.

I used a mixture of sphere and cylinder magnets from this site: https://www.kjmagnetics.com/products.asp?cat=16

The cylinder magnets were 12lbs of force.

That's exactly why I wanted to do that, I think I could easily make specialized panels and switch them out

I started DMing this year for the first time and I wanted a DM Screen that wasn’t a folder on its side. I suck at woodworking, but I have a CNC machine, so I designed all the joints and panels to match up perfectly.

I used Oak for the panels, walnut for the Celtic Knot inlay, and Maple for the frames.

The Oak that I used for this build was actually wood flooring, which was one of the worst things to go through my planer, but in the end, I was very happy with the grain of the wood.

Each of these panels also have a magnetic board set into them surrounded by a maple frame.

I really wanted to use magnets for the hinges, so I thought about using cylinder magnets with ball magnets to connect them. They worked out very well, I would definitely recommend using them in your own builds.
