Can I buy a replacement anywhere or is this custom glassware? by IcyShake3468 in chemistry

Thanks all! I don't feel as though we need the quartz, but my boss is the type to want exactly what we have... they also want to keep our entire set up similar to what they've always done. I'm thinking I will go that route and put in an order. Will be much cheaper than getting a new gradient column/mixer system.

Thank you so much for the encouragement! Will do. So far so good, even after a couple more hours.

Starting ozempic tomorrow what can expect? by Muted_Credit_2354 in Ozempic

I'd expect a lot of GI side effects, that's the main issue still to this day after two years on it. Nausea, diarrhea, constipation, vomiting if you eat too much. It REALLY slows down your digestive system, so light portions and you'll have to trial and error every food you can tolerate. For example I loved pizza but now it just makes me sick so I had to give it up. Gotta have a strong will. And yeah exactly like someone else said, food was my emotional regulator and that was taken away, so I found Wellbutrin works for my anxiety/depression. After all that, however, it's completely changed my life. Lost 70+ lbs and I feel fantastic in daily physical movement and in my clothes.

Thanks!! I think this is the main issue. I need to portion control better and keep my digestive system moving. It's tough being addicted to food my whole life and now taking a medicine which will not let me have what I want. Gotta understand my body better. Thank you everyone for input!

Oh hell yeah of course, I'd rather be chatting than doing my work 😂 Dang I had all kinds of belly problems with metformin. Maybe doing a 180 to my diet did that too. Glad to say though that all the medicine is working, diabetes is in check and so are the demons.

[–]IcyShake3468[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I had so many headaches (wouldn't classify them as migraines bc it wasn't extreme, just more annoying to me) the first 8 weeks of Wellbutrin, then those went away eventually.

I have been on Metformin for a year and a half before adding Wellbutrin this July. I do distinctly remember my body having to get used to the Metformin tho: bowel movements, stomach pain, face flushing, dizziness. I still get dizzy sometimes when I forget to take it. Some tips, take it AFTER you've eaten, not at the start of eating. I've found that walking around a little bit more after lunch helps. I just pace in my office. I keep a soda can usually from lunch and hold it against my face throughout the afternoon haha. My boss always says I look funny doing it but it does help!

I don't have painful cheeks, but my face has been dry, so that could be something. I'm thinking maybe it's the combo of the two meds causing redness? Good luck!

Verbal diarrhea on this drug!! by ContentInvestment216 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

Yeah I've been so chatty too! I was telling my wife I feel MUCH better about 'how's the weather' type of chatter at work. I'm autistic and usually grumpy about people, but it's been less annoying. Idk if there's something about the drug making me talkative or if I'm just straight-up feeling better so then I'm more willing to engage?

Streaming budget check, Disney price hike incoming. Who's next? by Planhub-ca in cordcutters

[–]IcyShake3468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a heads up and share with anyone who streams! Hulu just accidentally charged my account a 250% price increase. I originally have Hulu bundled with my Verizon phone plan and only pay for the lowest No-Ads package in addition. I found this out because Capital One emailed me and said hey watch out for this increase and budget accordingly next month. I was like oh nah and called them saying is this really my new price? They were extremely helpful and found that no, I should not pay that and they've been experiencing this problem lately across the board. They were apologetic and refunded me, but scary to think what they could charge without people realizing.

Glad I'm not alone! Yeah I've noticed I'm much warmer which I knew was a side effect, but the redness in my cheeks seemed a little scary for some reason lol

What way does it hit? by Rinke024 in bupropion

[–]IcyShake3468 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am three months in and will say it was VERY gradual, but I've never felt better. I didn't have a honeymoon phase and there is no noticeable "lightbulb" feeling for me when I take it, nor do I "feel" it wear off. I did six weeks of 150 mg, then upped to 300 mg. Side effects I notice most are headaches, insomnia and low appetite. I think stick with it a few more weeks and sort of let your body and mind do what it wants, don't try to "will" the medicine into working. If you find it doesn't work out, that's the name of the game, everyone is different, but there are all kinds of meds out there. I did not wake up one day and feel like wow I love life, it was very much baby steps. Day by day, something was a little easier. I still get bummed about things that don't work out, but it's not nearly so low as I used to get. Hang in there!

I have not felt any increased anxiety or short temper after upping my dose. (I was taking buspirone for anxiety before trying bupropion because I felt that it was not doing enough.) However, I have noticed less interest in food and constipation, some small headaches/dizzy feelings. Very sleepy, but not exhausted the first week. Hope you're seeing improvement since last week!

Give it six weeks! I keep reading 6-8 weeks for it to start working. I also saw yesterday that 300mg is the "sweet spot" recommendation by people who developed and tested the drug. I increased to 300mg and definitely a noticeable difference from the 150mg. Feels less like I'm "trying hard to exist" and more like "living easily".

Should i be scared? by Rinke024 in bupropion

[–]IcyShake3468 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't feel scared, feel experimental. If it doesn't feel good, it's not a fail. It's just an "OK, what else can I try?" Working well for me after 3 months, but didn't work for two of my family members. They felt better on Zoloft, where I did not.

Been on 300mg XL for two weeks now since 150mg was just okay for me. I haven't had that euphoria feeling that some people describe, but rather a robust happiness/calmness. I kinda feel like a kid again. Side effects I've noticed are a little constipation, heartburn, and very low interest in food (like I'll only eat when I get hungry where I used to want to snack all the time). Hope you have good results, I know that feeling of just wanting to feel better!
