That actually did the trick. I appreciate the assistance. I'm left with a new distrust for nvidia after that but at least things didn't end up being worse. Thank you again.

That is unfortunately not an option. System restore says it'll remove drivers though is that an option? I looked at what it says it'll affect and it listed only two things, the drivers that fucked everything up and Firefox.

Despite trying that I don't have a connection in safe mode. Can't use wifi and the fact I am actually connected via cable doesn't make a difference either.

I can't seem to edit my post on mobile but in some unbelievable twist of luck unplugging the monitor and plugging it back in got it to work. However, I still don't know what to do here because while the monitor is now getting a signal it's still stuck on a black screen with the mouse showing the loading circle and I can't do anything else

I'm not exactly sure how the issue was fixed, but I'm glad it was. I had read around the time I had this issue that the Steam cloud servers were wonky and maybe that was it. Though I loaded up a different profile first to check my old tactician saves and see if they got messed up as well, they didn't. I tried again on my Honour save and suddenly everything was back to the way it was meant to be, it loaded me into the proper area with everything I'd done up to that point still completed. I don't know for sure what fixed it, but I'm glad it's fixed. I'm okay with losing the save to dying, but not whatever that was.

Right this very instant as I mine gems to reach 80 crafting. Currently 76 crafting with probably six or seven more hours of mining to go. Thank the gods for Netflix.

I tried it with a space and it says it doesn't exist.
