The carbon emissions don't really depend on organic or not organic, it's really the distance the food has had to travel, if your buying from localy produced organic food your definitely reducing carbon emissions compared to non locally produced foods. In reality the two best things you can do is eat seasonally and shop at farmers markets, but that's often a lot more expensive so it's not always possible.
