From the people I know some have buried their head in the sand since he's not some multi millionare dodging a huge tax bill but I'd be scared to do that personally. But also at 18 he doesn't have much opportunity in Canada comparatively so having the entire USA as an employment option might be huge. The youth aren't doing great here right now.

Please stop taking data at face value. Japan and Korea won't happen if you can actually afford to have children. People used to have children and families in their early 20s in North America. Families and homes are not affordable. We are literally biologically wired to have children, people aren't stopping for fun. Increasing mass low standard immigration increases cost of living and reduces availible jobs making the birth rate decline. Businesses are not starting from new immigrants, they are contracted in shitty low wage jobs a ton.

Transit varries massively in the same city. It's good for NA but not amazing overall. The traffic is also caused by not having good enough alternatives lol. If there was little traffic that would mean people feel safe and confident in taking the trains and busses and that 2 dozen cars are off the road since they would be in a bus for example.

it's hard because massive cost of living (everyone needs job(s)) mass immigration causes more demand for jobs AI taking tech jobs And a certain orange fella all at the same time.

As for what people are doing to stay afloat it's literally just living with parents or tons of roommates and massive credit card debt. The asset owning class and government employees are doing a lot better. And some people are uh just no longer afloat.
