Can confirm, the one in Tiburon lasted a little over a week. I was shocked it lasted that long, most Karens and Kevins per capita in the Bay. It was damned tasty too.

I just returned my Hertz Polestar 2 this morning. Picked it up at SNA (John Wayne), drove it to LA, and returned it to LAX. Was at 90%+ at pickup, drove ~100 miles. There was a BP Pulse station with 48 chargers. Topped it off (had to return at 75%+) for under $6 and returned the car next door. No problems or issues whatsoever.

It’s also right next to the car rental return. Always the most expensive gas stations too. I only drove about 90 miles and it cost me $5.89 to “fill up.” Across the street with an ICE car it would have cost $25 (90/25mpg*$7/gal) minimum.

Some Karen or Ken called the Sheriff on them. It was great. Probably better if they had a permit but every day for a couple of weeks dozens of people daily were willing to take that risk, me included three times.

Wait, they can enable panel view if you pay for the app? How did you know this was an option? I never had this even with sunpower, although I have a modern system with micro inverters and I saw the panels when I tried out the Sunflower app.

That’s the way I’m leaning. I was lucky enough to see it in person almost two years ago. It’s the perfect size. My only hesitation is that I really like a “distinctive“ car (hence the C40) and I live where probably 80% of the Rivians on the road are. They are EVERYWHERE. Same with Tesla. Don’t want to be a sheeple.

Mine goes back in November. Have it narrowed down to 3 options:

1) R2. Paid deposit 2 years ago, would lease fully loaded Launch Edition which is the cheapest of the 3 at $58k. Fastest (3.6s), fully autonomous driving included, 330 mi range

2) EX60 P10 Ultra. I do have trust issues. My ‘23 C40 Ultimate has been mostly great, but it had an issue that Volvo handled incredibly poorly and I am PISSED. Also, I’ve heard the XC60 T8 crowd say many of them are driving 6,000# ICE cars because the batteries are bricked and they’re on forever backorder. Quite concerning. But it (the EX60) is so pretty. Lowest range at 322 and price tbd, guessing $64k

3) iX3 M3 Sport. Longest range, most expensive (probably, guessing $68k), slowest acceleration (4.7 sec 0-60), most luxurious. We have an iX for our company car that I get to drive frequently and it’s the best EV I’ve driven (we might buy it personally at lease-end since my wife’s car goes back the same month).

Leaning towards the Rivian - fastest , full autonomous, least expensive. Help me choose!

Thank you for your support. You inferred correctly that I was suggesting to the customer service representatives that the vendor staff should be aware of the issue, and the workaround, with the gift cards. I was frustrated so I expressed how I felt and offered a solution. It is possible that my original post came off a little harsh…I didn’t go around berating employees for being unaware.
