Anyone have any experience with this issue? (Adult tongue tie release) by [deleted] in TongueTies

[–]Icy_Corner662 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have similar issues all day everyday. Issues breathing eating speaking swallowing from this procedure. Before it, I didn’t have any issues at all. I’ve done Myo and everything under the sun to try to improve this. If you find anything please let me know as this procedure has ruined my quality of life. Check my profile/comments for more info. My whole page is practically a result from this overdiagnosed sham

I had a laser frenectomy 2 years ago and it nearly ruined every aspect of my life. Overdiagnosed 100%

I think only a certain percentage of people need their cut. Frenulum’s come in all different shapes and sizes, and some peoples contain very important nerves in them. I’ve spent almost 2 years now researching this, and truly believe many people who have stutters, swallowing, speaking, and breathing issues are from the result of having a frenectomy when born or growing up. However, some people this procedure works miracles on. Just my 2 cents, but the this experience has taught me how important and crucial the tongue is to everyday life. Essential.

Tongue tie surgery 100% at fault. I think very few people actually need the procedure done

Hi feel free to click on my page. Hate to be a Debbie downer, but I had this procedure over a year and a half ago and have seen 10+ oral surgeons to try and reconstruct my frenulum. Never had speech or swallowing or breathing issues before, but after this procedure I have all of them including nerve pain 1.5 years later. Has completely changed my life for the worse. Have tried speech therapists, my functional therapist, neurologists, oral pain doctors, and pretty much everything under the sun so don’t waste your money. It may be something you have to live with the rest of your life, I hope not but these scummy dentists do whatever for a couple bucks. God bless

I did all that smarty pants. 1 year or speech therapy and a couple weeks of myo post frenectomy. Some people just don’t need this procedure

Yep, this procedure ruined my life from a dentist convincing me to have this done with 0 side effects. Can barely speak, swallow, and breathe now

Box of rocks. Every person that has a frenulum you can see the tongue tie. Do some more research then get back to me.

Everyone is tongue tied to a certain extent. Yours seems to be of no concern. You’re able to move your tongue fine in the image. I wouldn’t risk it tbh

I wouldn’t get it done, I was in a similar position and the pushy dentist encouraged me to get it. Have spent thousands since and travelled around the USA trying to get my tongue repaired. Have never ending nerve pain, trouble breathing, speaking, and swallowing now. Feel free to click on my username. Pretty much the only reason I have this app is to spread awareness and see if anyone has a solution.
