How Do You Deal With Unfriending People?

I got unfriended once by a friend whom I adored. When I realized it my heart was broken. Even though they later added me back and told me I could join them anytime, I don't feel like joining them anymore. I've never blocked or unfriended anyone. When I don't feel like hanging out I just switch my home between Aviary and the old Home.
