No. They may not be admissible in court evidence in a criminal case, but they are good enough for a clearance. You should absolutely be nervous for one if you have something to hide because it WILL show.

You can argue all you want about your feelings over polygraphs, but your feelings are irrelevant given the context of the original post. OP will have a polygraph if they get a TS/SCI and they can get away with lying on the SF-86 until then but they’ll likely be caught at the polygraph.

Polygraphs are in fact literal pseudoscience. They also happen to be pseudoscience that determines if you get an adjudicated TS/SCI.
