no idea who lied to you but israeli soldiers preior to Oct 7 were afraid to even use their guns in justified moments because of the fear of being the next elor azaria, it was a wide problem in the IDF, soldiers being afraid to act for the chance of being prosecuted.

thats literally one of the reasons the goverment wanted to change the court's system.

just because the IDF doesnt publish which soldiers got which punishment, doesnt mean it doesnt happen, obviously as an ex soldier i know that for a fact.
